Reddit Community Assistant for Stand-Up Comedian and Storytelling Creator
Worldwide
PLEASE DO NOT MSG ME ANYWHERE ELSE OTHER THAN UPWORK. It's an AUTOMATIC NO if I get DMs, Emails, FB, Whatsapp msgs I'm Tina Pham - I’m a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor and short-form storytelling creator looking for a Reddit-savvy assistant to help distribute my content thoughtfully and organically. This is not a mass-posting, link-spamming or fake-engagement position. I need someone who genuinely understands Reddit culture, subreddit rules and how Reddit differs from Instagram and TikTok. My content includes: • Filmed stand-up comedy clips • Short personal storytelling videos called “Truth Reps” • Occasional BTS, fashion/lifestyle/family/culture videos • Topics including dating, Vietnamese family and identity, MMA, sexuality, relationships, creative work and personal observations Two-week paid trial — US$100 fixed price for now and can be an ongoing partnership Trial responsibilities: • Review approximately 10 existing videos • Identify the best relevant subreddits for each piece • Check and document each subreddit’s current rules • Recommend whether each piece should be posted as a native video, text post or discussion • Write Reddit-native titles and introductions • Adapt 2–3 selected videos into natural text posts • Prepare at least 6 complete posts for approval • Create a simple tracker showing subreddit, format, rules, posting date and results • Monitor approved posts and identify comments that need my personal response You must: • Write fluent, natural English • Understand the difference between participating in a community and promoting to it • Be comfortable with adult stand-up comedy and discussions involving dating and sexuality • Disclose that the content belongs to me whenever required • Follow Reddit’s spam, self-promotion and community rules • Ask before posting if a community’s rules are unclear You must not: • Purchase or manufacture upvotes, comments or karma • Use bots or automated mass-posting • Use aged accounts to disguise promotion • Create fake conversations or pretend to be a fan • Post one piece across numerous subreddits simultaneously • Guarantee virality, karma or follower growth • Engage in arguments while representing me To apply, please answer: 1. How long have you personally used Reddit? 2. Which subreddits do you participate in? 3. Please provide examples of Reddit posts or communities you have managed. 4. How would you approach distributing one stand-up clip differently from one personal storytelling video? 5. What would cause you to decide not to post a piece in a particular subreddit? 6. Confirm that you do not use purchased votes, fake comments, bots or undisclosed third-party accounts. Please begin your application with the words “Reddit is not Instagram” so I know you read the complete description. There may be ongoing monthly work if the trial demonstrates good judgment, natural writing and genuine community engagement. --- Likely Reddit communities: The following are starting communities where my content may be relevant. You will be responsible for checking each community’s current rules and determining whether an individual piece genuinely belongs there. Stand-up comedy: • r/StandUpComedy — primary community for native stand-up performance clips • r/comedy — stand-up clips with appropriate creator context • r/Standup — craft discussions and selected clips accompanied by a genuine question • r/standupshots — jokes adapted into comedian-photo/text format • r/comedywriting — premises, writing discussions and feedback Truth Reps and personal storytelling: • r/TikTokCringe — selected funny, provocative or insightful short-form videos • r/CasualConversation and r/SeriousConversation — personal observations adapted into native text discussions • r/asianamerican, r/Vietnamese and r/AsianParentStories — Vietnamese-Canadian identity, immigrant-family and cultural stories • r/bisexual and r/BisexualWomen — relevant sexuality and identity stories • r/datingoverthirty and r/OnlineDating — dating, consistency, intimacy and relationship observations • r/martialarts — stories involving my competitive MMA background • r/Concussion and r/TBI — carefully framed personal experiences involving concussion and leaving competitive fighting • r/BecomingTheIceman and r/OpenWaterSwimming — cold-water and endurance stories • r/acting and r/ArtistLounge — acting, comedy and creative-identity discussions • r/vancouver’s designated events and promotions threads — appropriate local show announcements These are not automatic posting destinations. Do not distribute every piece to every listed community. Each post should be matched to a small number of genuinely relevant communities, adapted to their culture and withheld when self-promotion is prohibited.
