Reddit Subreddit Manager for AI SaaS Community
Worldwide
We're an AI SaaS startup building tools for job seekers and professionals. We're growing on Reddit the legitimate way: by genuinely participating in communities and being helpful, not by spamming or self-promoting. We're expanding our Reddit team and want people who actually understand Reddit culture. About the role We need someone to help maintain and grow our official subreddit/community. Your job is to keep the subreddit active, organized, and genuinely useful: posting discussion threads, responding to members, moderating low-quality content, keeping pinned posts current, and helping build a valuable community around job searching, career growth, and AI tools. This isn't a spam role: we want to build a real community over time. What you'll do - Maintain our official subreddit - Post weekly discussion threads - Reply to member questions - Moderate spam and low-quality posts - Keep pinned posts updated - Suggest new subreddit rules and structure - Run weekly prompts (e.g., a "Job-search questions thread" or "AI tools discussion") - Encourage real discussion - Track subreddit growth and engagement - Report issues or negative sentiment Example weekly threads: Weekly Job-Search Prep Thread; AI Tools for Job Search Discussion; Resume Review Thread; "What tripped you up in your job search this week?"; "Share your best job-search tip"; "AI in hiring: fair or unfair?" What we're looking for - Experience moderating or managing online communities - Reddit experience preferred - Strong written English - Good judgment - Calm and professional when handling criticism - Able to keep a community active without overpromoting What you'll deliver - Weekly subreddit activity report - Post/thread schedule - Member questions answered - Moderation summary - Growth and engagement notes Hours: 5-10 hours/week to start Pay: $3/hour USD to start; higher for experienced community managers To apply: Please answer the 5 screening questions below in your proposal. Generic, copy-paste pitches will be skipped. Screening questions 1. Have you managed a subreddit or online community before? 2. How would you keep a new subreddit active? 3. What weekly discussion threads would you suggest for an AI SaaS / job-search community? 4. How would you handle criticism or negative comments? 5. What makes a subreddit feel real instead of promotional?
