Remote Back Office Operator Permanent Work-From-Home Role 2–6 Hours Per Day, Monday–Saturday Schedule: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM IST Pay: ₹10,000 – ₹30,000 per month, based on experience and scope of responsibilities About the Role We operate a portfolio of branded gas stations and convenience stores across California, USA. We are looking for a reliable remote back office operator to support daily financial reconciliation, invoice entry, lottery tracking, price book updates, and basic operational bookkeeping using our web-based back office system. This is a permanent, long-term position, not a freelance or project-based role. Full training will be provided, including video tutorials, reference documentation, and a supervised onboarding period. Prior gas station experience is not required. Key Responsibilities Cash Reconciliation Estimated time: 45–60 minutes per day Open the daily book for each store location, verify fuel and store sales data, update cash deposit amounts based on scanned close-of-shift reports, review fuel inventory readings, confirm lottery figures, flag any cash variance outside the accepted tolerance, and lock or approve the business day. Invoice Entry Estimated time: 30–60 minutes per day Enter non-fuel vendor invoices from scanned documents into the system. Match line items, verify invoice totals, ensure each invoice balances correctly, and create new product records when needed. Review and approve electronically received fuel invoices. Lottery Management Estimated time: 15–20 minutes per day Enter daily scratch ticket inventory counts from scanned lottery slips. Create new lottery ticket book records and process returns as required. Price Book Maintenance Estimated time: 10–15 minutes per day Review headquarters price notifications, accept or reject changes, flag items for owner review when needed, and publish approved price updates to the point-of-sale system. Reporting and Administration Estimated time: 30–60 minutes per day Generate and schedule reports, export data for the accountant, maintain vendor records, process inventory audits after data syncs, and handle ad-hoc administrative requests. Daily Summary Estimated time: 5–10 minutes per day Post a brief end-of-day update for each store via WhatsApp, including cash variances, invoice status, lottery updates, pending issues, and any items that require owner review. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, consistent, comfortable working with numbers, and able to follow daily processes accurately. You should be reliable, organized, and comfortable using web-based software, scanned documents, spreadsheets, and WhatsApp for communication. Training will be provided, but accuracy and consistency are extremely important for this role.
