Remote Engineering Support (Part-Time) We're hiring a detail-oriented engineering assistant with strong mechanical aptitude and Fusion 360 experience to support our stainless steel fabrication company. This is a remote, part-time position ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, written communication, and learning independently. What You’ll Do Answer customer emails and texts clearly and professionally Be available during standard business hours (8am–5pm CST or close) Work in Fusion 360 to plan and design complex metal fabrication projects Help plan and prioritize work for the shop as needed Develop email templates, SOPs, and training documentation for future engineers Complete one-off design projects as needed Collaborate with the team during project planning and product builds (via email/chat) Verbal communication is only required during training Training Hands-on training will be provided, but your success depends on your ability to learn independently, ask questions when needed, and take initiative in understanding our products and processes. Requirements Strong mechanical aptitude Proficient in Fusion 360 (this is required) Excellent written English Comfortable using tools like AI to polish and draft professional emails Available to work Monday–Friday during business hours (CST) Able to communicate clearly via email and chat Willing to be self-driven and take ownership of your learning Details Hours: 5–15 hours per week Schedule: Flexible within business hours (CST) Location: Remote Training: Self-paced with support resources and weekly check-ins Nice to Have (Not Required) Experience working with sheet metal Background in custom fabrication or engineering documentation To Apply Please answer the following: Why are you interested in this position?
