Remote Marketing Assistant — Social Media Content Creation & Management
Worldwide
Remote Marketing Assistant — Social Media Content Creation & Management Remote | Architecture / Engineering / Construction | Long-Term Opportunity | PST Overlap Preferred ________________________________________ Engineering Solver, Inc. is a growing multidisciplinary engineering and design firm providing Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP engineering services for residential and commercial projects. We're looking for a creative, highly organized, proactive Remote Marketing Assistant to take ownership of our social media presence and build a stronger, more consistent brand across platforms including Yelp, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Houzz, Upwork, and Alignable — reporting directly to the CEO/CGO. What you'll do: • Create platform-native content — project highlights, before/afters, construction progress, educational posts on structural/civil/MEP topics, renderings, client stories, team highlights, reels, shorts, and long-form video — turning raw photos, videos, drawings, and technical input from our team into polished marketing material. • Manage our day-to-day presence and engagement across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Yelp, Houzz, Upwork, and Alignable, adapting tone and format appropriately for each platform. • Maintain an organized content calendar tracking topic, platform, content type, required assets, draft/approval status, publishing date, and performance — so marketing runs as a consistent system. • Maximize every piece of content by repurposing it across formats and platforms — one project site visit becoming a reel, a TikTok, a YouTube Short, a LinkedIn post, stories, and more. • Edit short-form video (cutting, captions, titles, transitions, music, hooks, thumbnails, branding) and produce social graphics, carousels, and educational visuals, with strong Canva skills preferred and Adobe Creative Suite as a plus. • Write captions, headlines, hooks, calls to action, video scripts, and post copy that sounds professional and credible — not generic AI-generated marketing language. • Proactively collect material from leadership and our technical team, keep an eye on relevant industry and company news for content opportunities, assist with comment/DM engagement and relationship-building with referral partners (escalating real sales opportunities to the appropriate team member), and track performance metrics to report monthly on what worked, what didn't, and what to do more of. What you need: Comfort with Canva, CapCut (or similar editing tools), Meta Business Suite, Google Drive/Sheets, and Slack. We're looking for someone creative, organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, who can simplify technical information for a general audience and stays focused on measurable results. Prior marketing experience in AEC, real estate, or a related field is a plus, but not required. Hours & growth: Remote, open to candidates internationally, but strong overlap with Pacific Time business hours is preferred for coordinating with leadership and collecting content from our team. This is meant to be a long-term relationship, with potential to grow into a Marketing Coordinator, Social Media Manager, Digital Marketing Manager, or Marketing & Brand Manager role. Paid trial: Shortlisted candidates may complete a small paid trial — given sample project photos, footage, or a rendering, you'd create a reel, a social post, a LinkedIn post, a TikTok/Shorts concept, captions and hashtags, and a publishing schedule. How to apply: Please begin your proposal with the words "ENGINEERING MARKETING" so we know you read the full posting. See the Additional Information below for the specific application questions and further detail on the role. ________________________________________ Additional Information Full Scope of Responsibilities Social Media Content Creation: Content spans project highlights, permit and plan-check tips, luxury residential design content, FAQs, and business-development posts tailored to each platform's format — from Instagram carousels to LinkedIn thought leadership to TikTok trend-compatible clips. Platform Management Detail: On YouTube, this includes managing video descriptions, thumbnails, titles, and upload organization. On Yelp and Houzz, it includes profile updates, service descriptions, and review/client engagement. On Upwork, it includes supporting our company profile, portfolio, and case studies. On Alignable, it includes networking content and partnership visibility. Newsjacking Strategy: In addition to promoting our own projects, part of this role is watching the news cycle for relevant industry moments — code updates, natural disasters, permitting or zoning changes, high-profile construction stories, and similar events — and quickly turning them into content that shows how Engineering Solver's expertise applies. This should feel timely and genuinely useful, not opportunistic, and should reinforce our credibility as engineers who understand both our clients' projects and the broader forces shaping the industry. Content Repurposing: The goal is adapting the same underlying idea appropriately for each platform's audience and format — not posting identical content everywhere. Video Editing & Graphic Design: Beyond basic editing, this includes formatting vertical video, improving pacing, and building branded templates and promotional materials consistent with our visual identity. Copy-writing: All copy should feel relevant, useful, and credible for an engineering/design audience — avoiding generic, obviously AI-generated marketing language. Content Collection & Team Coordination: You should proactively ask "what happened this week that we can turn into content?" rather than waiting to be handed ideas — this includes both internal project updates and relevant external news for newsjacking purposes. Audience Engagement & Community Management: This includes monitoring direct messages, engaging with relevant industry professionals, and building relationships with architects, contractors, designers, developers, and real estate professionals — while escalating real sales opportunities rather than handling them directly. Marketing Performance Tracking: Track followers, reach, impressions, engagement, video views, watch time, profile visits, website clicks, inquiries, and leads generated, and report monthly on best-performing posts, topics, and platforms. Application Questions Please provide links or examples of social media accounts you have managed, and answer: 1. Which social media platforms have you professionally managed? 2. What experience do you have creating Instagram Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts? 3. What video editing software do you use, and how experienced are you with Canva? 4. Have you worked with an architecture, engineering, construction, real estate, or other professional-services company? 5. How would you turn one engineering project into at least 10 different pieces of social media content? 6. How would you create different content for LinkedIn versus Instagram versus TikTok? 7. How do you decide what content is performing well? 8. What social media scheduling or management tools have you used? 9. Are you comfortable communicating with engineers and asking them for project photos, videos, and technical information? 10. How do you use AI tools in your content-creation workflow? 11. What is your current location, time zone, and available Pacific Time overlap? 12. Are you interested in a long-term position? Preferred Industry Experience Marketing experience in luxury residential design, interior design, landscaping, home remodeling, or design-build is also a strong fit alongside core AEC experience. If you have recommendations for improving or consolidating our social media management tools, we'd like to hear them in your application.
