Replit Web Developer Needed to Restore and Continue Replit Project
Worldwide
We are looking for an experienced Replit web developer to take over a website project for our schools. The original developer who was building the site in Replit is no longer available or accessible. A third-party consultant was able to successfully recover and preserve the project files, and we now need an expert to unpack the archive, evaluate the backend, and continue the development to completion. He believes he has the schema database files. We are open to the idea of converting the existing work and design to another development platform. Current Status (What our recovery consultant has confirmed): Files Recovered: The St. Joseph project assets were successfully downloaded, preserved, and archived from the original Replit workspace. Replit Validation: The workspace was manually rebuilt and validated to bypass Replit's 200MB ZIP import limit, confirming the frontend code operates independently. Backend / Database Uncertainty: While the Replit code is secured, it is unclear what, if anything, existed outside of the Replit environment on the server or deployment side (e.g., external databases, hosting configurations). Working Example: You can view a working copy/testing site of the current portal to see where things were left off here: stjosephnew.thestepnetwork.com. What We Need From You: Review & Unpack: Receive and unpack the recovered Replit archive files. Evaluate: Assess the current state of the code, particularly identifying any missing backend architecture or database connections that were hosted outside of Replit. Propose & Continue: Provide a plan to restore full functionality and continue development to complete the site. To Apply: Please review the working subdomain provided above. In your proposal, please provide: A brief overview of how you would approach unpacking and assessing the Replit archive. Your estimated hours or fixed cost to review the recovered files, assess the backend situation, and get the project fully functional for continued development.
