Research Assistant (BankFocus) – Banking & Financial Data Collection for Academic Research

I am a university lecturer and PhD researcher seeking an experienced research assistant with active access to the BankFocus (Bureau van Dijk) database. The project involves building a high quality panel dataset for academic research in banking and finance. Accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail are far more important than speed. The initial project is a paid trial. Successful completion may lead to a larger data collection project and an ongoing research collaboration. Responsibilities Extract specified financial, governance, and bank specific variables from BankFocus. Collect data for a list of banks and years that I will provide. Record missing values accurately without guessing or estimating. Deliver a clean, well organised Excel dataset. Follow a detailed variable specification exactly. Requirements Current BankFocus access is essential. Experience using BankFocus for academic or professional research. Excellent Excel skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work systematically and communicate clearly. Trial Task The successful applicant will first complete a small paid trial involving a limited number of banks.
