Research Assistant – Expert in B2B Sales Platforms & Revenue Tech

We’re looking for an experienced research assistant who has deep, real-world knowledge of the modern B2B sales technology landscape, particularly AI-native and AI-enabled sales platforms. This is not a generic internet research role. We’re looking for someone who already understands this market through experience working in sales operations, revenue operations, product marketing, venture research, consulting, or a related field. You’ll help us evaluate vendors, identify market trends, compare capabilities, and build structured research that supports product, strategy, and investment decisions. *Areas of Expertise* You should understand the complete B2B sales lifecycle and the platforms that support it, including: * Top-of-funnel lead generation * Prospecting and outbound automation * Intent data and account identification * Marketing-qualified lead (MQL) generation * Sales-qualified lead (SQL) qualification * Opportunity creation and pipeline management * CRM workflows and sales execution * Product trials, POCs, and product qualification * CPQ, pricing, quoting, and negotiations * Contracting and deal management * Closed-won process through first order and customer handoff You should also have a strong understanding of how AI is transforming each stage of this workflow. *What You’ll Be Doing* Examples of work include: * Researching and comparing vendors * Creating competitive landscapes and market maps * Building comparison matrices * Identifying emerging AI startups and established platforms * Summarizing product capabilities and differentiators * Tracking funding, partnerships, and product direction * Producing concise, executive-quality research *Deliverable* * Daily standup meetings (15min) to check in on progress and refine the approach * A spreadsheet with 50+ vendors evaluated (vendor, site, overview, features supported, etc) * Meetings and demos scheduled and managed * Video and screenshot artifacts highlighting target functions of the solutions you've looked at * Recommendations *What We’re Looking For* Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of: * Sales Operations * Revenue Operations * B2B SaaS * Enterprise software * Sales technology consulting * Venture capital or technology research * Product marketing for sales technology Please do not apply if your approach is simply to search Google or ask ChatGPT.
