Research Assistant for histology analysis

We are seeking a detail-oriented Research Assistant with histology image analysis experience to analyze Oil Red O (ORO)- and Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E)- stained tissue sections. The ideal candidate has a strong background in biology and histology and is comfortable working independently while following standardized analysis procedures. Responsibilities - Analyze blinded Oil Red O and H&E-stained histology images/slides. - Quantify lipid accumulation using image analysis software. - Maintain consistency and objectivity throughout the analysis process. - Document methods and provide organized results. Requirements - Background in Biology, Histology, Pathology, or a related life science field. - Prior experience analyzing histological stains (Oil Red O and H&E experience preferred). Proficiency with image analysis software such as ImageJ, Fiji, QuPath, HALO, or similar platforms. - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. - Ability to work independently and deliver reproducible results. - Familiarity with blinded analysis and quantitative image processing is highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with tissue segmentation, thresholding, and area quantification. - Previous work with liver, heart, or other lipid-rich tissues. - Understanding of common histological artifacts and exclusion criteria.
