Research & Data Enrichment Team — U.S. Law Firm Directory (Multi-Phase Project)

We're a research and analytics team building a structured directory of U.S. law firms in a defined set of practice areas, organized by metro market. This is a market-mapping dataset for internal analysis. The work is methodical web research and data enrichment from publicly available sources — no special access required, just a careful, well-organized process and a team that can move quickly without sacrificing data quality. We're running this in three phases. You can propose how to staff and sequence the work; we care about throughput and clean, verified output. Phase 1 — Identify the top ~100 firms in specific practice areas across the top 50 U.S. metro areas. Phase 2 — Same exercise across the next 150 U.S. metro areas (metros ranked 51–200) Phase 3 — For a subset of firms from Phases 1–2, enrich each account with key decision-makers and their verified contact information against a persona spec we'll provide How we define "top" firms Apply a repeatable ranking per practice area, per metro. Our default signal blend: Apparent firm size (number of attorneys) Online prominence (organic visibility for "[practice area] attorney [city]") Review volume and rating (Google Business Profile and major legal directories) Presence/standing in legal directories (e.g., Justia, Avvo, FindLaw, Super Lawyers) We're open to your recommended methodology — but whatever we land on must be documented and applied uniformly so the rankings are reproducible. For Phases 1-3, we will provide a CSV template of required fields per firm and contact. Quality expectations We'll start with a small paid test batch (one practice area in one metro, ~100 firms) to confirm quality and alignment before scaling the full project. We spot-check records. Target accuracy is 95%+ on verified fields. Records that fail QA get reworked at no additional cost. Emails and contacts in Phase 3 must be verified or flagged with a confidence level — no unverified guesses passed off as confirmed. What we're looking for A team/agency that can parallelize for speed — tell us your headcount and realistic weekly throughput. A documented, consistent process (not ad-hoc research). Experience with U.S. business-directory builds and B2B contact enrichment. You're welcome to use your own tooling/stack; manual verification of contact accuracy is still required. Budget: Open to proposals. Please quote both a per-verified-record rate and an estimated cost per phase, and note your preferred structure (per-record, milestone, or hybrid).
