We specialize in roofing, remodeling, insurance restoration, home additions, and new residential construction. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Residential Construction Estimator to join our team. Position Summary The Residential Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and profitable estimates for residential roofing, remodeling, restoration, and new construction projects. This position works closely with our sales team, project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure every project is priced accurately and delivered successfully. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed cost estimates for: * Residential roofing projects * Kitchen and bathroom remodels * Whole-home renovations * Home additions * Residential new construction * Insurance restoration projects * Review architectural plans, blueprints, and project specifications. * Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations. * Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing. * Develop professional proposals and project budgets. * Maintain current labor and material pricing for Florida and Mississippi markets. * Assist with insurance claim estimating using Xactimate (preferred). * Collaborate with project managers during preconstruction and project handoff. * Ensure estimates meet company profitability goals while remaining competitive. * Support continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes. Qualifications * Minimum of 3 years of residential construction estimating experience. * Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and materials. * Experience estimating roofing and remodeling projects. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. * Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel. * Experience with one or more of the following: * Xactimate * Buildertrend * JobTread * PlanSwift * Bluebeam * Roofr (preferred) Preferred Qualifications * Experience with insurance restoration and storm damage claims. * Knowledge of Florida and Mississippi residential building codes. * General contracting or project management experience. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
