Restaurant Back-Office Systems Support Specialist (Temporary, Sept-Oct, Possible Extension)

About Us Break Bread Consulting is a hospitality technology consulting firm serving multi-unit restaurant groups across the US. We manage back-office platforms, POS systems, and vendor operations on behalf of our clients, including several NYC-based hospitality groups. We are adding a temporary specialist to our delivery team to cover a two-month capacity peak, with real potential for ongoing work afterward for the right fit. The Work You will be embedded in our team supporting active client engagements. Depending on your background, your work will include some mix of: Invoice processing and item mapping in Craftable (Foodager/Bevager): entering invoices, mapping line items to the correct categories, and flagging discrepancies Toast back-office support: menu updates, item configuration, and troubleshooting for multi-location groups General back-office data work: reconciling reports, cleaning up records, and documenting processes as you go We will scope your specific workload to your strengths during onboarding. You do not need to cover all three areas. Must-Haves Hands-on experience with at least one of: Craftable (Foodager/Bevager), Toast back-office, MarginEdge, MarketMan, R365, or a comparable restaurant inventory/AP platform Proven track record of detail-heavy, accuracy-critical work (invoice entry, item mapping, data reconciliation, or similar) Reliable availability of 15-20 hours per week through October, with at least partial overlap with US business hours for check-ins Strong written English and proactive communication. If something is unclear or blocked, you flag it the same day Comfort working inside client systems under a confidentiality agreement Nice-to-Haves Craftable implementation or administration experience specifically Prior work with multi-unit or enterprise restaurant groups Familiarity with restaurant AP workflows, COGS, and vendor operations We sign a mutual NDA before you touch any client systems, and you will receive your own scoped logins. You will work alongside our Director of Client Success and our project leads, with clear task queues and documented processes. Screening Questions Which of the platforms listed above have you used hands-on, and in what capacity (implementation, daily processing, support)? Describe the largest volume of invoice or data entry work you have handled in a single week, and how you kept accuracy high. What is your weekly availability from mid-August through the end of October, and what hours (in US Eastern time) can you overlap for check-ins? Have you signed NDAs for client system access before? Any current commitments that could conflict with working inside restaurant technology platforms? Rate and Logistics Set your rate based on your experience level; we hire for reliability and accuracy, not the lowest bid. Timezone is flexible as long as check-in overlap is workable. Start date is mid-August so we can onboard and train before September volume hits.
