Restaurant Finance Controller / F&B Financial Operations Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Finance Controller / F&B Financial Operations Consultant to set up and manage the complete financial control system for a premium restaurant in Mangalore, India. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in restaurant finance, inventory costing, daily sales reconciliation, cash control, food cost analysis, purchase tracking, vendor payments, delivery platform reconciliation, financial projections, and monthly reporting. This role requires someone who can track every rupee accurately and create a clear system for understanding the restaurant’s real daily performance. Responsibilities * Create and manage a complete restaurant finance control system. * Track daily sales from cash, UPI, card, delivery platforms, and other payment modes. * Reconcile POS sales, bank deposits, cash collections, petty cash, and payment settlements. * Track daily purchases, vendor payments, inventory consumption, wastage, and closing stock. * Calculate food cost, beverage cost, item-level costing, and gross margins. * Build daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management. * Create dashboards for revenue, expenses, profit, cash flow, inventory, and cost control. * Monitor delivery platform sales, commissions, payouts, deductions, and pending settlements. * Maintain clear records of staff meals, discounts, voids, complimentary items, and non-chargeables. * Prepare monthly P&L statements, cash flow reports, and financial projections. * Identify leakages, wastage, over-purchasing, cash mismatches, and cost-control issues. * Help design SOPs for cash handling, inventory control, purchase approval, vendor billing, and daily closing reports. * Work closely with the owner/management team to make the restaurant financially transparent and controllable. Required Experience * Strong experience in restaurant, café, hotel, cloud kitchen, or F&B finance. * Experience with inventory costing and food cost control is mandatory. * Experience with POS reports, daily cash reconciliation, purchase tracking, and P&L reporting. * Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills are required. * Knowledge of accounting tools such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar platforms is preferred. * Ability to build simple, practical, and easy-to-use financial dashboards. * Must be highly detail-oriented, accurate, organized, and reliable. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is not just a bookkeeper, but a finance controller who understands restaurant operations. The person should be able to tell us exactly where money is coming from, where it is going, what each menu item costs, what the real margins are, how much cash should be deposited, how much inventory is being consumed, and whether the restaurant is actually profitable. The system should be practical enough for daily restaurant use and detailed enough for management-level decision-making. Project Type This can start as a one-time setup project and continue as an ongoing monthly finance control role if the work quality is strong.
