Revit BIM Modeler for NYC Commercial Project

NYC-based building technology contractor seeks an experienced Revit modeler to produce a 3D BIM model of our audiovisual scope on an active commercial construction project (recreation center, ~35,000 SF, design-build). Our 2D shop drawings are complete in AutoCAD (DWG) — your job is translating our scope into a clean, coordination-ready native Revit model. SCOPE OF WORK: - Model all AV elements from our approved 2D shop drawing set: ~130 loudspeakers (in-ceiling recessed w/ back-boxes, pendant, surface-mount, exterior), 3 equipment racks, wall plates and touch panels, display mount locations, induction loop layout, and device-level clearance boxes per project BIM standards - Inputs provided: full DWG shop drawing set (signal flow, floor plans with device IDs, mounting details, rack elevations), architectural/structural backgrounds, and project BIM execution requirements - Deliverables: native Revit (.RVT) model + Navisworks (.NWD) export, organized for MEP trade coordination - Ongoing: monthly as-built model updates (minor revisions reflecting field conditions) for approximately 3 months REQUIREMENTS: - Strong Revit proficiency with MEP/electrical/low-voltage modeling experience (AV, telecom, security, or electrical systems — show me examples) - Comfortable working from AutoCAD DWG source files and PDF details - Familiar with clearance/clash-detection modeling conventions and Navisworks export - Responsive communication; able to start immediately TIMELINE & BUDGET: - Initial model: complete within 2 weeks of receiving files - Milestone structure: 40% on model framework/backgrounds set, 60% on approved final model with NWD - Monthly as-built updates quoted separately as fixed small milestones - NDA required before project files are shared SCREENING QUESTIONS: 1.
