Risk and Compliance Officer
Worldwide
We are standing up a bankruptcy-remote issuance structure (Cayman and BVI vehicles) for institutional, KYC'd, transfer-restricted credit notes backed by short-tenor real-world receivables, settled on-chain. We need an experienced Cayman/BVI compliance professional to own the AML/CFT compliance function for the vehicles as a named officer, and to stand the program up to institutional and counterparty diligence standard. What you will own Act as named AMLCO and/or MLRO/DMLRO for the Cayman and BVI entities (or work alongside the appointed officers at our administrator). Build and document the AML/CFT/sanctions program to CIMA (Cayman) and BVI FSC standard: risk assessment, policies and procedures, KYC/CDD/EDD, ongoing monitoring, SAR/STR escalation, record-keeping, and the sanctions-screening framework. Map the program to on-chain settlement and wallet-based investors (allow-listing, KYC-gating, blockchain-analytics sanctions screening). Be the compliance counterpart in counterparty and investor due diligence — answer DDQ sections on AML, governance, and regulatory standing, and stand behind those answers. Advise on the CIMA / BVI FSC regulatory perimeter for the issuer and vault vehicles and flag licensing/registration triggers, working with our onshore (US) and offshore counsel. Keep the program current and audit-ready as the structure moves from pilot to scale. Must-have Demonstrable experience as a named AMLCO, MLRO, or DMLRO for Cayman and/or BVI funds, SPCs, or issuer/SPV vehicles. Working command of the Cayman AML Regulations and CIMA guidance and the BVI AML/CFT regime and FSC expectations. Hands-on building or running an AML/CFT/sanctions program that has survived institutional diligence or a regulator inspection. Comfort with outsourced/fractional named-officer engagements and the duties they carry. Strong plus Experience with digital-asset, tokenized, or on-chain funds/issuers, and blockchain-analytics sanctions tooling. Familiarity with private credit, receivables, trade finance, or securitization/SPV structures. GCC / UAE investor or counterparty exposure. Existing relationships with Cayman/BVI fund administrators and licensed director firms. Holding a current CIMA / regulatory registration as an officer.
