Rive Animator

A well established gaming company looking for a talented Freelance Rive Animator to create engaging interactive features, Live-Ops features, and animated UI elements for a mobile app in the trading card game (TCG) space. You will work closely with our product, design, and development teams to bring interfaces to life through polished, responsive, and playful animations. We are a fast-moving startup, so we are looking for someone who is creative, proactive, and comfortable taking ideas from concept to implementation quickly. Responsibilities: - Create high-quality interactive animations and UI elements using Rive - Animate engagement features, rewards, transitions, buttons, menus, and other in-app experiences - Build reusable animations and state machines that can be integrated into a mobile application - Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure animations are visually strong and technically practical - Iterate quickly based on product feedback and user needs Help define the animation style and motion language of the app Requirements: - Strong professional experience working with Rive - A portfolio demonstrating polished UI, interactive, or product animation work - Good understanding of animation principles, timing, motion, and visual feedback - Experience creating animations optimized for mobile applications - Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and deliver within agreed timelines - Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment - Understanding of game UI, player engagement, rewards, progression, and gamification Nice to Have: - Experience in mobile gaming - Previous work on trading card games, collectible card games, or similar products - Experience working with Rive state machines and interactive inputs - Experience collaborating directly with mobile developers
