Robotics Curriculum Developer for Kids' STEAM Academy (Vex IQ, Dogzilla, myCobot, Litebee)

We run a STEAM academy for kids and are building a structured, project-based robotics curriculum for students aged 12+. We're hiring a curriculum writer to develop clear, engaging, step-by-step project guides. This is hourly and phased. We'll start with Phase 1 and continue to later phases only if the first phase goes well — so this can grow into ongoing work for the right person. Phase 1 (current hire): Develop curriculum for two robotics platforms — Vex IQ sets and Dogzilla Lite (Yahboom). Each platform gets a mission of 8 projects (16 total), ranging from simple to advanced, each designed to be completed in ~1.5 hours. Later phases (if Phase 1 succeeds): myCobot 280 AI Kit and Litebee Wing II drones. Each project deliverable includes: Analysis of existing kit documentation A project outline A clear, age-appropriate step-by-step guide for kids 12+ Notes for testing/suitability for the age group Revisions based on feedback We provide the hardware documentation, mentorship, and regular check-ins. You bring strong instructional writing and the ability to break complex robotics concepts into digestible steps.
