SCORM Developer Required to Build 5-Module Video Course for Moodle

Summary

We are developing a client-specific e-learning course for office employees. The course will explain how to correctly set up and adjust ergonomic workstation equipment. The finished learning content will consist of approximately seven short video modules, with an anticipated total course duration of approximately 20 minutes, followed by one final quiz. We require an experienced SCORM and Moodle e-learning developer to convert the approved videos and supporting materials into a professional, accessible and fully tested SCORM package. Scope of work The successful freelancer will be required to: Create a structured e-learning course containing seven video modules Apply KOS Ergonomics and client branding Create a simple, professional course interface Add clear module navigation and progress indicators Import the approved videos, captions and transcripts Allow learners to pause, replay and revisit content Add one final knowledge quiz Configure the course to report learner activity and results to Moodle Test the completed SCORM package before handover Tracking requirements The package must report the following to Moodle: Course opened/launched Course completion Quiz score Pass or fail result The course should also: Remember the learner’s progress if they leave and return Require learners to complete the course content before final completion is awarded Allow failed learners to retry the final quiz Clearly display completion and assessment results We will provide the quiz questions, correct answers and feedback text. Unless changed before development, the proposed pass mark is 80%. The freelancer should advise whether SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 is most appropriate, but the final version must be confirmed against the client’s Moodle requirements before publishing. Accessibility requirements The course should include: Synchronised closed captions An accessible transcript Keyboard-operable controls and navigation Clear focus indicators Readable text and suitable colour contrast Controls for pausing, replaying and revisiting content No essential instruction communicated only through colour or animation A layout that works across common desktop and laptop screen sizes Mobile compatibility should be provided where reasonably supported by the videos and the client’s Moodle configuration. Required deliverables Completed SCORM package ready for Moodle upload SCORM source-authoring file All associated course assets Moodle-compatible captions and transcripts A test report confirming launch, bookmarking, completion, scoring and pass/fail behaviour Simple handover instructions covering upload and completion settings Two rounds of reasonable revisions Testing and acceptance The package must be tested for: Initial launch Module navigation Video and caption playback Saving and resuming learner progress Final quiz operation Score transmission Pass/fail transmission Completion reporting Repeat attempts Common desktop browsers The engagement should include support for testing the final package in the client’s Moodle environment. Our company or the client will provide the necessary access or upload the supplied test package. Ownership and confidentiality Full commercial rights and ownership must transfer toour company Editable source-authoring files must be provided Our company must have the right to reuse and adapt the course structure for other clients All content and client information must remain confidential The successful freelancer may be required to sign an NDA The work must not be used in a portfolio without written permission When applying Please begin your proposal with the words “Moodle SCORM” so we know you have read the full brief. Please provide: Examples of SCORM courses you have developed for Moodle The authoring platform you recommend, such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate or an equivalent platform Confirmation that editable source files will be supplied Your recommended SCORM version and the reason for your recommendation Details of how you test completion, bookmarking, scoring and pass/fail reporting Confirmation that you can support Moodle acceptance testing A fixed-price quotation, revision arrangements and any exclusions
