SEO Content Writer / On-Page SEO Assistant for Contractor Marketing Agency

We are a small U.S. marketing team working with home-service and contractor businesses. We are looking for an SEO content writer / on-page SEO assistant to support our SEO lead. This is not a role for someone who only writes articles and then never checks what happened. We need someone who can write useful SEO content, understand search intent, look at competitors, publish cleanly, and care about whether the content performs. You will help with: - Blog posts - Service pages - Location pages - Content updates - Basic on-page SEO - Meta titles and descriptions - Internal links - FAQs - WordPress or website publishing - Content re-optimization You will work under our SEO lead. You do not need to own the full strategy, but you do need to understand why a page is being written and what success looks like. Very important: Please do not apply if you cannot show real performance proof. We do not need 20 screenshots or a long presentation. We just need you to be ready to show one real example of content you worked on and explain: - What page or article you wrote - What keyword or topic it targeted - What happened after it was published - What Google Search Console showed - What you would improve now Live Google Search Console is strongly preferred. Screenshots are not enough by themselves. Good fit: - You are an individual freelancer, not an agency - You have clear English communication - You understand search intent - You know how to review top-ranking competitors - You can write service pages and blog content - You can improve old pages, not just write new ones - You are comfortable using Google Search Console - You can work inside Asana or a similar task tool - You care if content ranks and gets traffic Not a good fit: - You are an agency - Someone else will take the calls for you - You cannot show any real performance data - You only write content and do not care if it ranks - You send the same copy-paste proposal to every job - You have too many active jobs to give this real attention - You depend fully on AI to write generic articles Tools we care about: - Google Search Console - Google Analytics - SEO tools - WordPress or similar CMS - Asana or similar project management tools - Go High Level Bonus if you have worked with home-service, contractor, medical, legal, finance, or local service businesses.
