The practice currently serves clients in Illinois, Arizona, Washington DC, North Carolina, Virginia, and Texas, with a primarily insurance-based client base. This is not a generic blog-mill gig. You'll be writing two types of content: 1. State & city landing pages — dedicated pages for each location we serve (e.g. "Therapist in Chicago," "Counseling in Phoenix"), built around real local search terms, written for people who are ready to book, not just browsing. 2. Ongoing blog content — a mix of commercial/insurance-focused pieces. You'll work from SEO briefs provided by our SEO strategist — keyword targets, structure, and intent will be given to you, so your job is to turn that into warm, accurate, genuinely useful writing. Responsibilities:Write state/city landing pages that: ○ Target real commercial search terms directly in the title, H1, and body — not just a city name dropped into generic copy ○ Clearly state which insurance plans are accepted ○ Link to relevant counselor bios and service pages ○ Include a structured FAQ section near the top with direct, clearly-answerable questions (this also helps the content surface well in AI search tools like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews) ● Write ongoing blog content that bridges informational and commercial/insurance intent ● Work from content briefs/keyword targets provided each month ● Maintain a warm, credible, non-clinical-but-accurate voice appropriate for sensitive mental health topics Requirements ● Proven experience writing SEO-optimized content (please share writing samples or a portfolio) ● Comfortable writing about mental health and sensitive topics with genuine care and accuracy — this is not content to "phone in" ● Strong understanding of on-page SEO basics (titles, headers, keyword placement) — you don't need to be a technical SEO expert, but your writing should be SEO-aware ● Comfortable using AI tools as part of your writing process (we expect AI-assisted writing, but it must read as genuinely helpful, human, and accurate — not generic AI filler) ● Reliable communicator, able to turn around drafts on a predictable monthly cadence ● US healthcare/insurance familiarity a plus, but not required — we'll provide the specifics on which plans are accepted per state What We'll Provide ● Keyword targets and content briefs for each piece ● Brand voice/style guidance ● A point of contact for review before anything publishes (mental health content is reviewed carefully before going live) How to Apply Please include: 1. 2–3 writing samples (ideally SEO content, healthcare/wellness content, or both) 2.
