We need an experienced link builder to execute a 12-month authority-building campaign for a PEO industry website. The goal is simple: take our domain from DA ~20 to DA 40+ by earning backlinks from relevant, authoritative sites in the HR, insurance, business, and small business space. This is not a "blast 500 directories and call it a day" gig. We need someone who can earn real editorial links from real publications through outreach, HARO, guest posting, and relationship building. We are a licensed insurance agency that helps SMBs find the right Professional Employer Organization. Our CEO is a recognized industry expert. We have a daily content engine publishing SEO-optimized articles, strong topical depth in the PEO space, and a growing organic presence. What we're missing is backlink authority. What you'll own: 1. HARO / Journalist Pitching (40% of effort) — Monitor HARO (Connectively), Qwoted, Help a B2B Writer, SourceBottle, Terkel, and #journorequest daily — Write 15-25 expert pitches per week in our CEO's voice — Target HR, benefits, insurance, small business, and entrepreneurship queries — Goal: 8-12 placed links per month 2. Guest Posting & Contributor Outreach (30% of effort) — Identify and pitch HR, business, and insurance blogs that accept guest posts — Write or coordinate 2-4 guest articles per month with contextual backlinks — Build ongoing contributor relationships with key publications — Priority targets: People Managing People, HR Morning, BenefitsPro, HR Dive, SHRM contributors, Insurance Journal 3. Resource Page & Roundup Outreach (20% of effort) — Find "best PEO" roundup articles and get us added — Find resource pages on HR, small business, and insurance sites and pitch inclusion — Broken link building where relevant — Goal: 5-10 resource page links per month 4. Directory & Profile Links (10% of effort) — Submit to relevant industry directories (NAPEO, BBB, Clutch, G2, industry associations) — Claim and optimize business profiles with backlinks — One-time effort, maintain quarterly Monthly deliverables: — Minimum 15 new referring domains per month (unique websites linking to us) — Weekly report: pitches sent, articles published, links earned, DA of linking sites — Running spreadsheet tracking every link: URL, anchor text, DA, dofollow/nofollow, date acquired, status — Monthly summary: total new referring domains, DA distribution, progress toward DA goal What we need from you: — 2+ years of hands-on link building experience (not just strategy — execution) — Proven results: show us a site you took from DA 20-30 to DA 40+ (with timeline and methods) — Experience with HARO/digital PR pitching (placed links on DA 50+ sites) — Ability to write guest post content or pitch outlines in the HR/business space — Understanding of what makes a link valuable (relevance. raw DA. editorial . directory, dofollow nofollow) — Organized tracking and reporting — WHITE HAT ONLY — no PBNs, no link farms, no paid link schemes that violate Google guidelines Nice to have: — Experience in HR, insurance, PEO, or B2B services verticals — Existing relationships with HR/business publication editors — Experience with Ahrefs or Moz for backlink analysis and competitor gap research — Ability to identify competitor backlink sources and replicate them Topics we can provide expert commentary on: — PEO pricing and ROI ($1,775/employee average savings per NAPEO) — Workers compensation cost reduction — ACA compliance for businesses crossing 50 employees — Health insurance for small businesses (group vs individual rates) — HR outsourcing and co-employment — Payroll tax compliance (SUTA, FUTA, multi-state) — Small business growth and scaling challenges — Employee benefits strategy What we'll provide you: — CEO talking points and quotes for HARO pitches — Brand guidelines and approved messaging — Access to our content library (50+ published articles for reference) — Competitor backlink gap analysis (we'll pull this from Ahrefs) — Fast turnaround on approvals (same-day for time-sensitive HARO queries) — Guest post topics and outlines when needed Requirements — — Strong written English (native-level writing required — you'll be writing as a US-based CEO, the pitches must sound American, not translated) — Available during US Eastern time zone overlap (minimum 3-4 hours daily between 9am-5pm EST for time-sensitive HARO queries) — Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace To apply — A writing sample: write a 3-sentence HARO pitch answering this query — "What's one benefit of using a PEO that most small business owners don't know about?"
