## About the Company We are an established e-commerce brand in the martial arts industry operating on Shopify Plus. Beyond our core e-commerce operations, we've built an extensive digital ecosystem — a **large-scale multi-domain network** spanning content properties, niche community sites, and proprietary content platforms. This network is powered by a **widget-based architecture** that connects domains, distributes content, and builds topical authority across the martial arts and combat sports verticals. **Note:** Specific domain count, property names, and strategic architecture details will be shared after hiring under NDA. ## Project Context We need an SEO & Marketing Stack Manager to take ownership of the strategic coordination and ongoing optimization of this domain network. You'll work directly with our **SEO Lead**, who sets the high-level SEO strategy and directs content priorities. Your role is to be the hands-on executor and coordinator — managing the day-to-day SEO operations, content workflows, widget deployments, and marketing tool integrations across the network. This is **not a traditional single-site SEO role**. You'll be managing a complex, interconnected network of properties where cross-domain strategy, internal linking architecture, and coordinated content deployment are critical to the overall approach. If you've only worked on single-site SEO, this role will be a significant step up. ## Role Responsibilities **Multi-Domain SEO Operations:** - Manage and coordinate SEO across the multi-domain network under our SEO Lead's strategic direction - Execute technical SEO audits across priority domains (crawlability, indexation, site structure, Core Web Vitals) - Implement on-page optimization at scale: meta tags, heading structures, internal linking, schema markup - Monitor and manage Google Search Console across all properties — identify indexation issues, crawl errors, and search performance trends - Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and domain authority metrics across the network - Execute link-building and cross-domain authority distribution strategies as directed **Content Platform Management:** - Manage our flagship content properties — large-scale content platforms with extensive topical coverage - Coordinate content updates, new content creation, and interlinking strategies - Monitor and optimize search performance and topical authority growth - Work with the content team to maintain content quality and freshness across platforms **Widget Network Coordination:** - Understand and manage our **widget-based architecture** that connects domains across the network - Coordinate widget deployments, updates, and performance monitoring - Ensure widgets are properly implemented and not causing performance or SEO issues (render-blocking, CLS, etc.) - Track widget-driven traffic and engagement metrics **Marketing Stack Management:** - Manage and coordinate marketing tools across the network: analytics (GA4), tag management (GTM), email integrations - Ensure consistent tracking and attribution across domains - Coordinate with email marketing platforms, CRM, and advertising platforms for unified data - Monitor and optimize conversion tracking, event setup, and goal configurations - Manage content calendars and publication workflows across priority domains **Reporting & Coordination:** - Provide weekly/biweekly reports to leadership on network SEO performance - Create dashboards for cross-domain performance visibility - Prioritize and escalate technical issues that require developer intervention - Coordinate with the development team on technical SEO implementation requests - Document processes, SOPs, and network architecture for team reference ## Required Skills **Must-Have:** - 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least some multi-site or multi-domain work - Strong technical SEO skills: site audits, crawl analysis, indexation management, structured data - Proficiency with SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 - Experience managing Google Tag Manager across multiple properties - Understanding of JavaScript-based content delivery and its SEO implications (script-tag widgets, dynamic rendering) - Content SEO skills: keyword research, content optimization, content calendar management - Excellent organizational skills — you'll be managing a LOT of moving pieces - Clear communication skills for reporting and team coordination **Strong Plus:** - Experience with large-scale or network-level SEO (media companies, franchise networks, multi-brand portfolios) - Knowledge of Shopify SEO — URL structures, liquid templates, meta field optimization - Familiarity with martial arts, sports/fitness, or enthusiast community content - Experience with email service provider integration and segmentation - Understanding of cross-domain tracking and attribution challenges - Experience with programmatic SEO or template-based content scaling - Knowledge of CDN-level SEO considerations (caching, edge rendering, domain routing) - Experience building or managing SEO dashboards (Looker Studio, custom solutions) ## Deliverables 1. Network Audit — Prioritized assessment of SEO health across the domain network (priority properties in detail) 2. SEO Operations Playbook — Documented workflows for recurring SEO tasks across the network 3. Content Platform Strategy — Content and SEO growth plan for flagship properties 4. Widget Audit — Performance and SEO impact assessment of widget deployments 5. Tracking & Analytics Setup — Verified GA4 + GTM configurations across priority domains 6. Reporting Dashboards — Cross-domain SEO performance dashboards (weekly cadence) 7. Monthly Strategy Reports — Performance summaries with recommendations for leadership 8.
