SEO Specialist for E-Commerce

Job Description We are looking for an experienced, results-driven SEO Specialist to help grow our e-commerce business through a combination of SEO, AI Search Optimization, Google Ads, and Meta Ads. This role goes beyond traditional SEO. We're looking for someone who understands how search is evolving with AI-powered search engines and can implement strategies that improve visibility across both traditional search results and AI-generated search experiences. Key Responsibilities Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Conduct comprehensive SEO audits. Perform keyword research, competitor analysis, and search intent analysis. Develop and execute on-page SEO strategies. Optimize category pages, product pages, landing pages, and blog content. Improve internal linking and website architecture. Implement technical SEO best practices, including: Core Web Vitals Page speed optimization Schema markup XML sitemaps Robots.txt optimization Crawl error fixes Canonicalization and indexing improvements Build high-quality backlinks using ethical (white-hat) SEO practices. Develop and execute a long-term content SEO strategy. Monitor rankings, traffic, conversions, and overall website performance. AI SEO / Generative Search Optimization (GEO) Optimize content for AI-powered search experiences such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and other AI search platforms. Implement strategies to improve brand visibility in AI-generated answers. Create authoritative, well-structured, and entity-focused content. Optimize structured data (Schema.org) and semantic SEO. Develop topical authority through content clusters and internal linking. Stay up to date with the latest AI search trends and algorithm changes. Recommend strategies that improve visibility in both traditional and AI-driven search results. Google Ads Plan, launch, and optimize Google Search, Shopping, Display, and Performance Max campaigns. Conduct keyword research and audience targeting. Improve campaign performance, Quality Scores, and return on ad spend (ROAS). Optimize bids, budgets, ad copy, and landing pages. Set up and manage conversion tracking using GA4 and Google Tag Manager. Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram) Create and manage Meta advertising campaigns. Build prospecting, retargeting, and lookalike audiences. Perform A/B testing on creatives, audiences, and ad copy. Optimize campaigns to maximize conversions and ROAS. Analyze campaign performance and recommend improvements. Required Skills 3+ years of proven SEO experience. Strong understanding of Technical SEO. Expertise in On-page and Off-page SEO. Experience with e-commerce SEO. Knowledge of AI SEO / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI search optimization. Experience managing Google Ads campaigns. Experience managing Meta Ads campaigns. Strong understanding of GA4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager. Experience using tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Moz, or similar platforms. Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience growing e-commerce brands. Knowledge of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). Familiarity with content marketing and digital PR. Understanding of entity SEO, semantic search, and structured data. Experience with AI content workflows while maintaining high editorial quality. Google Ads certifications are a plus. Deliverables Complete SEO audit and action plan. Technical SEO improvements. On-page optimization. AI SEO / GEO strategy and implementation. Content optimization recommendations. High-quality backlink strategy and execution. Google Ads management and optimization. Meta Ads campaign management. Monthly reporting that includes: Organic traffic growth Keyword rankings AI search visibility improvements Conversion metrics Google Ads performance Meta Ads performance Action plan for the following month What We're Looking For We're looking for a proactive, data-driven digital marketing professional who understands both traditional SEO and the future of search.
