About us We're DUO, a marketing agency. We run paid media for local service businesses and we're expanding into SEO. We're looking for an experienced local SEO consultant to own search strategy for our clients while our team handles client relationships, reporting, and execution support. You won't be doing reporting or client calls — we've built our own reporting system and we manage the accounts. We need your expertise on what to do and why: the strategy, the keyword and competitor research, the audits, and the prioritized roadmap that gets local businesses ranking and generating leads. What you'll do - Build local SEO strategies for service-area and storefront businesses focused on lead generation (calls and form fills), not vanity traffic. - Run keyword and competitor research to identify the highest-value local terms and content opportunities. - Conduct technical and on-page site audits and deliver clear, prioritized fix lists our team can execute. - Own Google Business Profile strategy — optimization, posts, categories, review strategy, and local pack visibility. - Guide local citation and link-building priorities. - Set realistic expectations and milestones (you know local SEO results take 3–6 months) and define the leading indicators we should watch early. - Hand off recommendations and target keyword sets that our team plugs into tracking and reporting. Requirements - 3+ years of hands-on local SEO experience with demonstrable results for local/service-area businesses. - Strong track record moving the needle on leads, not just rankings or traffic — be ready to share examples. - Deep Google Business Profile / local pack expertise. - Fluent with Google Search Console and GA4 (you interpret the data; we pull and present it). - You bring your own research stack (Semrush, Ahrefs, or equivalent) - Clear written communicator who can translate SEO into plain-English priorities a non-SEO team can act on. Nice to have - Experience working as a white-label strategist inside an agency. - Familiarity with call/lead tracking (e.g. WhatConverts) and lead-quality thinking. - Experience across the verticals we serve (home services, clinics, and similar local lead-gen businesses).
