SEO Strategist to join agency full time
Worldwide
About the role We are looking for an SEO Strategist who can own organic growth for a portfolio of clients. You will build the roadmap, turn it into content and on-site execution, communicate clearly with clients, and drive measurable outcomes. This is a hands-on role for someone who can think strategically and still ship. What you will do Lead SEO strategy for multiple client accounts (audits, prioritization, roadmaps, quarterly plans). Run keyword research that maps to revenue, not vanity traffic. Build content plans and create content briefs that writers can execute without confusion. Write and edit content when needed (service pages, blog posts, landing pages, programmatic outlines). Optimize on-page SEO (titles, internal linking, content refreshes, schema recommendations, CRO-aware copy improvements). Coordinate technical SEO fixes with developers (crawl/indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, redirects, canonicals). Support link acquisition strategy (gap analysis, anchor planning, digital PR angles, partner opportunities). Track performance and report insights (GA4, GSC, Looker Studio, Ahrefs/Semrush), focusing on what moved and why. Join client calls, lead updates, handle questions, and build trust through clarity and follow-through. Collaborate with account managers, writers, designers, and developers to ensure delivery happens on time. What “good” looks like in the first 60 to 90 days You can independently run an audit and produce a prioritized plan that a client immediately understands. You ship content briefs that reduce revision cycles and improve publish velocity. You identify quick wins (internal linking, content refreshes, metadata, cannibalization fixes) and execute them. Clients feel calm because they know what is happening, what is next, and what the results mean. You can explain SEO in plain language without overselling or hiding behind jargon. Required experience 3+ years in SEO (agency experience strongly preferred). Strong grasp of technical SEO fundamentals and how they impact growth. Proven ability to build and execute content strategies that rank and convert. Comfortable writing and editing content (you do not need to be a full-time writer, but you must be capable). Strong client communication skills (calls, Looms, emails, docs). Data fluency with GA4 + Google Search Console and at least one SEO suite (Ahrefs, Semrush, etc.). Excellent prioritization and project ownership. You finish what you start. Nice to have Ecommerce SEO experience (category pages, collection architecture, product page optimization). Local SEO experience (GBP optimization, location pages, citations, review strategy). Experience with content ops systems (templates, SOPs, QA checklists, scalable brief formats). Understanding of conversion fundamentals (you optimize for leads or sales, not just rankings). Tools you will use GA4, GSC, Ahrefs or Semrush, Screaming Frog (or equivalent), Looker Studio, Google Docs/Sheets, project management tools (ClickUp/Asana/Trello), and AI tools for speed (with human QA). Work style Remote-friendly. You are expected to manage your own workload and communicate early if something is blocked. You will be judged on outcomes, clarity, and consistency. Compensation Competitive and based on experience, with room for growth. (Include your expected compensation range in your application.) How to apply Send: A short intro (2 to 5 paragraphs) explaining what types of SEO wins you have driven. 1 to 2 examples of deliverables you have created (audit, roadmap, content brief, reporting deck, or case study). Redact client names if needed. A quick breakdown of your tool stack and the types of clients you work best with. What is the capital of Australia?
