We're building our in-house marketing function and need an SEO specialist to take direct ownership of our search performance. The core problem? We currently rank on page 3 of Google for "dental practice in Bolton" and similar local search terms. We need this fixed. This is a hands-on role focused on measurable improvement, not high-level strategy decks. What we need: - Improve our Google ranking and keyword ranking - Get us ranking on page 1 for "dental practice in Bolton" and related local search terms - Improve rankings for treatment-specific keywords (Invisalign Bolton, dental implants Bolton, composite bonding Bolton, teeth whitening Bolton, veneers Bolton, etc.) - Conduct keyword research to identify additional high-value local search terms we should be targeting - Track and report ranking position for every keyword worked on, with a clear before/after - Optimise our website - Full technical SEO audit (site speed, mobile performance, indexing issues, broken links, crawl errors) - On-page optimisation: title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, internal linking - Schema markup for local business and treatment pages - Ensure site structure supports both user experience and search visibility - Increase website traffic - Grow organic search traffic month on month, tracked through Google Analytics and Search Console - Identify and fix any pages losing traffic or underperforming - Recommend content or landing pages needed to capture more search demand Other essentials: - Google Business Profile: full optimisation and ongoing management (posts, reviews, categories, service listings) - Local citations and directory listings (NAP consistency across the web) - Local backlink building appropriate for a healthcare/dental business - Competitor analysis against other Bolton/Greater Manchester dental practices - Monthly reporting using verified data only (Search Console, Analytics), clearly labelled and easy to cross-check against real numbers Requirements: - Proven experience improving local search rankings for a service-based business, ideally dental, medical or similar local high-value service - Strong hands-on experience with Google Business Profile, Search Console, Analytics and rank tracking tools - Comfortable with technical SEO - Able to provide verifiable before/after ranking data from previous work - Honest, transparent reporting, no inflated figures or vanity metrics
