SEO expert for Australian Service business

Job Title: SEO Expert / SEO Specialist (Strategy & optimisation) Job Overview We are currently revamping the website with a WordPress developer. We already have Semrush keyword research completed and will also provide a professional Google Business Profile (GBP) audit. We are looking for an experienced, pro-active SEO Expert to fill in all the strategic and advanced SEO gaps to bring the website to a 9/10 SEO standard. You will work closely with the WordPress developer. Main Responsibilities: Review the provided Semrush keyword research and create a full SEO strategy for the website Competitor analysis for top-ranking local competitors Advanced on-page SEO guidance (EEAT-focused heading structure, content hierarchy, internal linking strategy) EEAT optimization across the entire site (trust signals, authority building) Advanced Schema Markup (LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ, Review, HowTo, etc.) Local SEO strategy across Sydney, Newcastle, Central Coast, and Hunter Valley using the provided GBP audit AI Search Optimization (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, etc.) Backlink strategy and outreach – build high-quality, relevant backlinks (local + niche) Technical SEO recommendations and audits (Core Web Vitals, crawl issues, site architecture, etc.) Monthly SEO performance reports (rankings, traffic, opportunities, action list) Work closely with the WordPress developer to ensure all recommendations are implemented correctly Requirements: Strong experience in local service / home services SEO Must have your own active Semrush or Ahrefs account Proven track record in backlink acquisition and local SEO Good understanding of current Google ranking factors (EEAT, AI search, etc.) Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with a small team Project Structure: Initial Strategy & Optimization Phase (one-time) Ongoing monthly support and maintenance Budget (Please quote separately): One-time SEO Strategy & Setup Fee: $____ Monthly Retainer: $____ per month Please include in your proposal: Your experience with similar local service websites How you approach backlink building
