Seasoned SQL Developer to Build Financial Reporting Suite (SQL Server) Overview We are a Sydney based IT and managed print services company looking for an experienced SQL developer to build a set of financial reports against our SQL Server database. The reports will underpin our monthly financial reporting and management review, so accuracy and clean, well documented logic matter to us. What we need built Efficient T-SQL queries, views and stored procedures that return reliable, repeatable results Core reports including profit and loss, revenue and gross margin by client and product, aged receivables and payables, and a simple cash position summary Figures that reconcile back to our accounting and ERP data Performance tuning so reports run quickly against a growing dataset Requirements Proven SQL Server and T-SQL experience, including stored procedures and query optimisation A solid grasp of financial reporting concepts and how the numbers fit together Experience building reports from ERP or accounting data Clear communicator who works to spec and documents as they go Nice to have Power BI or SSRS for presentation Experience with ERP systems such as Jim2 Deliverables Documented SQL scripts or stored procedures for each report A brief data dictionary and notes so the logic is easy to maintain To apply Please share a short note on similar financial reporting work you have done, along with any sample queries or reports you would be comfortable walking us through.
