STL Optimization for SLA Resin 3D Printing Project Overview I have an existing 3D character model (STL) that has already been sculpted. I am looking for an experienced freelancer to optimize the model for high-quality SLA resin 3D printing. The sculpt is complete; the work is focused on making the model manufacturing-ready. Current Issue The STL has been reviewed by a professional SLA printing service. Their feedback is: - Wall thickness is inconsistent. - Most areas are approximately 1 mm, with some regions thinner than 1 mm. - The model needs a uniform wall thickness of approximately 2 mm for reliable printing. - The external appearance and proportions should remain unchanged. Scope of Work The selected freelancer will: - Review the existing STL file. - Optimize the model for SLA resin printing. - Maintain the original external appearance. - Create a hollow model with approximately 2 mm uniform wall thickness. - Ensure the mesh is watertight. - Repair any mesh issues, self-intersections, or non-manifold geometry. - Verify that the model is suitable for professional SLA resin printing. - Recommend any necessary design changes that would improve printability while preserving the overall appearance.
