# Business Development Associate (Lead Generation) — AI.FinMitra **Location:** Thane, Lucknow (or Remote, with travel for events/meetings) **Reports to:** Product Head **Employment Type:** Contract / Full-time ## About AI.FinMitra AI.FinMitra is a school ERP platform built for school foundations and trusts managing multiple campuses. Beyond core operations (attendance, fees, HRMS, UDISE automation), we layer in AI-powered financial intelligence — per-student P&L, churn risk scoring, LTV:CAC by cohort, and an integrated NBFC-backed fee financing option for parents. ## The Role We're hiring a Business Development Associate to build us a steady pipeline of warm leads. School ERP buying decisions in India are heavily relationship-driven, often guided by independent consultants and implementation partners who already have trusted access to school administrators and trustees. Your job is to identify these consultants and resellers — including those currently working with competing platforms — and build relationships that turn into qualified, warm introductions to schools. This is purely a sourcing and outreach role. You find the people, open the door, and get the conversation going — the founders/sales team take it from there to close. ## What You'll Do - Identify school ERP consultants, implementation partners, and resellers (including those working with platforms like Fedena, Entab, Teachmint, MyClassCampus, etc.) through LinkedIn, case studies, industry events, and direct conversations with schools - Reach out to these consultants and pitch the opportunity to work with AI.FinMitra — better commission margins and a differentiated product story - Qualify interest and gather enough context (which schools they work with, what platforms they currently represent, their typical deal size) to hand off a genuinely warm lead - Maintain a simple, organized pipeline/tracker of outreach, responses, and handed-off leads - Attend relevant education sector events, school owners' association meetups, and consultant/vendor gatherings to expand the outreach list - Build relationships with adjacent vendors (biometric attendance, bus tracking, HRMS/payroll providers) serving the same schools, as a referral source for consultant introductions - Hand off qualified leads to the sales team/founders with clear notes, and track which leads convert to refine targeting over time ## What We're Looking For - 1–3 years of experience in lead generation, business development, or sales outreach — ideally in EdTech, SaaS, or B2B - Comfortable with cold outreach (LinkedIn, email, calls, WhatsApp) and persistent follow-up - Organized — able to keep a clean pipeline and not let leads go cold - Good communicator who can quickly explain AI.FinMitra's value to a consultant in a way that gets them interested - Self-starter, comfortable working with minimal supervision and ambiguity - Willingness to travel occasionally for events and in-person meetings ## Nice to Have - Existing familiarity with the Indian school ERP / EdTech ecosystem - Prior experience in a lead-gen or SDR role at a SaaS or fintech company ## What Success Looks Like - A consistent monthly volume of warm, qualified leads (consultants and resellers willing to engage) handed off to the sales team - A growing, well-organized outreach pipeline with clear notes on each contact's current platform affiliation and school network - Leads that convert into actual sales conversations at a healthy rate, validating the targeting approach --- *This role does not involve closing deals or negotiating final partnership terms — that responsibility sits with the founders/sales team. Your success is measured on the quality and volume of warm leads generated.*
