We're building a high-performing sales organization designed to support the next stage of our growth. We're looking for a Sales Team Lead & Trainer to help launch, develop, and lead our pilot sales team focused on abandoned cart recovery, customer re-engagement, and high-ticket sales opportunities. This is a dual-role position responsible for both training and team leadership. You will be responsible for developing training programs, creating sales playbooks, coaching representatives, leading team performance, and establishing the standards, processes, and culture that future sales teams will follow. We're looking for someone who can build, lead, coach, and scale while helping create the foundation of a world-class sales organization. This is a fully remote position. WHAT YOU'LL DO ● Lead and develop a team of sales representatives focused on abandoned cart recovery and high-ticket sales opportunities ● Design, build, and deliver onboarding programs, training materials, sales playbooks, call guides, and coaching initiatives ● Conduct training sessions, workshops, call reviews, and role-playing exercises ● Monitor team performance and provide ongoing coaching focused on conversion rates, objection handling, and sales effectiveness ● Lead team huddles, performance discussions, and development sessions ● Review calls and customer interactions to identify coaching opportunities and performance gaps ● Partner with leadership to improve sales scripts, processes, and customer engagement strategies ● Track key sales metrics including conversion rates, revenue, AOV, and overall team performance ● Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance ● Support future hiring, onboarding, and ramp-up initiatives as the sales organization grows WHO YOU ARE ● An experienced sales leader with a passion for coaching and developing people ● Skilled at creating training materials, structured learning programs, and performance improvement plans ● Strong in sales fundamentals, objection handling, consultative selling, and customer engagement ● Comfortable leading teams while remaining hands-on with coaching and development ● Data-driven and capable of translating performance metrics into actionable coaching strategies ● Thrives in fast-paced startup environments where processes are still being built and refined REQUIREMENTS ● 3+ years of sales leadership experience ● 3+ years of experience in sales training, coaching, learning & development, or sales enablement ● Proven experience creating training materials, onboarding programs, SOPs, or sales playbooks ● Strong understanding of sales KPIs, conversion metrics, AOV, and performance management ● Experience in eCommerce, DTC, customer retention, outbound sales, or high-ticket sales environments ● Excellent English communication and facilitation skills ● Strong coaching, leadership, and team development capabilities ● Shopify experience is a plus WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Week 1 ● Develop a comprehensive sales training curriculum covering product knowledge, sales processes, objection handling, abandoned cart recovery, and high-ticket sales strategies ● Review existing scripts, SOPs, and training materials and identify improvement opportunities Week 2 ● Immerse yourself in Plateful's culture, products, customer journey, and sales operation ● Build relationships with the team and establish coaching and communication rhythms Week 3 ● Transition into operational leadership responsibilities ● Begin leading team huddles, coaching sessions, call reviews, and performance discussions Week 4 ● Complete a full audit of team performance, training effectiveness, and sales metrics ● Implement process improvements, coaching plans, and performance initiatives designed to improve team results WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU ● Lead and shape Plateful's first in-house sales team ● Build training programs, systems, and processes that will scale with the business ● Work directly with leadership and influence the future of the sales organization ● Fully remote work environment with flexibility and autonomy ● Competitive compensation package based on experience ● Strong growth opportunities as the sales team expands
