Salesforce Administrator - Finance

We are seeking an independent Salesforce professional to provide configuration, administration, and development services to support Salesforce solutions utilized by the Finance business functions. The contractor will operate independently and determine the methods, sequencing, and technical approach necessary to achieve agreed-upon deliverables while complying with DCG security, data protection, and system access requirements. Scope of Services The contractor may perform services including: - Design, configure, and maintain Salesforce Billing and Revenue Cloud functionality, including invoicing, billing schedules, payment processing workflows, tax handling, subscription management, and related automation. - Develop Salesforce Flows and, where appropriate, Apex solutions to automate billing processes, invoice generation, payment tracking, refunds, adjustments, and related financial workflows. - Configure and maintain product catalogs, pricing structures, subscription models, and quote-to-cash processes aligned with business requirements. - Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions supporting revenue performance, billing cycles, collections activity, subscription performance, forecasting, and related financial metrics. - Configure and optimize Einstein capabilities related to forecasting, revenue projections, billing insights, and predictive analytics. - Support reconciliation efforts by identifying and resolving data inconsistencies across Salesforce and integrated financial systems. - Recommend and implement data quality controls, validation rules, governance practices, and audit-supporting configurations. - Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials supporting implemented solutions. - Analyze finance and billing requirements and propose scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with defined business objectives. - Support testing, deployment, troubleshooting, integration, and enhancement activities associated with Salesforce-related initiatives. Contractor Deliverables - Configured Salesforce Billing and Revenue Cloud objects, fields, validation rules, and automation. - Subscription billing, invoicing, payment tracking, and quote-to-cash process configurations. Salesforce Flows, Apex solutions, and associated technical documentation. - Revenue forecasting, billing, collections, and financial reporting dashboards. - Product, pricing, and subscription model configurations. - Integration configurations and supporting documentation. - Testing documentation and deployment support materials. - Knowledge transfer documentation. Critical Deliverables - Billing automation, invoicing processes, payment tracking, and revenue-related configurations are considered critical service areas due to their direct impact on revenue recognition, financial reporting, customer billing accuracy, and cash collection activities. The contractor shall exercise appropriate diligence in the design, testing, validation, and deployment of configurations, automations, and integrations affecting billing calculations, invoice generation, subscription management, payment processing, financial reporting, and revenue-related workflows and shall promptly communicate identified risks or defects to DCG. Minimum Contractor Qualifications - Salesforce Certified Administrator. - Demonstrated experience configuring Salesforce Billing, Revenue Cloud (Billing), or comparable Salesforce financial solutions. - Experience developing and supporting Salesforce Flow automation. - Strong Salesforce configuration skills, including objects, fields, validation rules, and automation. - Experience supporting quote-to-cash processes, subscription billing models, and related financial workflows. - Working knowledge of Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and financial analytics. - Familiarity with financial data structures, invoicing methodologies, payment workflows, and revenue recognition concepts. - Experience with API integrations, middleware platforms, ETL tools, and common Salesforce integration patterns. - Understanding of data governance, audit controls, and financial data integrity practices. Preferred Contractor Qualifications - Salesforce Billing certification. - Salesforce Revenue Cloud certification. - Salesforce Platform App Builder certification. - Experience with payment gateway integrations such as Cybersource, Stripe, Authorize.net, or similar platforms. - Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, accounting, billing, or financial management systems. - Experience supporting subscription-based revenue models and complex pricing structures. Engagement Parameters Services may be performed remotely from any location approved by DCG. The contractor is responsible for providing and maintaining their own work location, equipment, internet access, and telecommunications services unless otherwise agreed in writing. Because this engagement supports U.S.-based business operations, the contractor must be reasonably available to participate in scheduled meetings, requirements discussions, testing activities, deployment planning, and issue resolution efforts during agreed-upon U.S. business-hour collaboration windows. Except as outlined above, the contractor retains discretion regarding the scheduling, sequencing, and performance of work, provided agreed-upon deliverables, deadlines, security requirements, and communication expectations are met. Compensation Expected engagement range: $10–35 USD per hour, depending on qualifications, certifications, location, and relevant Salesforce experience.
