Summary

Short-Form Content Creator - Script Writing & Video Editing for Game Marketing We're building a pipeline of short-form content for indie game studios and we're looking for a talented creator to grow with us long-term. What makes this role unique You handle the full creative process : you write the scripts and hooks, then you edit the videos. Same game, one session of immersion, start to finish. The workflow (designed to be fast) For each pack, you receive: · The game's Steam page link · A short description of the game written by the devs themselves · Context on what the developer wants to highlight As part of onboarding, you'll get access to our reference sheet, a living document with real examples of hooks and video styles that perform well across different indie game genres, with notes on why they work: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1H2M4xAK1jAruo9rn38mWBMLrgspfLSWnJyoMHhCOTJg/edit?usp=sharing This sheet is yours to keep and consult at any time. We update it regularly with new references and performance notes. It's there to show you the style we're after : curated examples of what works in this space. Step 1 - Read the Steam page (~15 min) Read the Steam page, browse the screenshots and watch the trailer. Understand the game's tone, its genre, what makes it different. This is where you find your angles and build your visual vocabulary for the edit. Step 2 - Play the game Then you play the demo. Not to become an expert, to feel it. The pacing, the tension, the moments that make you stop and think "that's actually sick.". That feeling is exactly what the hook needs to recreate in 2 seconds, and what the edit needs to make the viewer feel. This is paid separately, on top of the pack rate, covered by us. It's not optional; it's where the quality comes from. · Test pack & Proof of Concept : 30 min → $5 · Build Momentum : 1 hour → $10 · Go Viral : 2 hours → $20 Step 3 - Write your scripts & hooks For each pack you write a set of scripts and hooks, all for the same game. You do the research once, find the angles, then write everything from that single session of immersion. Each deliverable is made of three parts: · A title (the title of the short video) · A hook (the opening line, what appears as caption) · A script (the full spoken text of the video) - for full scripts only ! Scripts are short. Around 50 words maximum for the body. One idea per script. No feature lists, no explanations. Just one angle, one emotion, executed cleanly. Hooks only : title + hook, no full script. Same rules apply : sharp, specific, under 15 words ideally. Each script and hook also includes hashtags. ~7 hashtags, with the # symbol. Most specific and niche tags first, the ones real players, streamers, and creators in that genre actually use and follow. Not generic (#gaming, #indiegame) as openers. Lead with the niche, end with the broad. The hashtags should reflect the game's specific identity : its genre, its mood, its mechanics, its community. The real creative challenge is finding different angles. Each script needs a distinct emotional entry point. What surprises a new player. What the developer cared about when building it. What makes this game different from anything else in its genre. You're not summarizing the game, you're finding the one thing worth saying about it, multiple different ways. Step 4 - Edit the videos You edit one short per script or hook. Same game, same footage pool, but each video is its own thing. Reusing footage doesn't mean copy-pasting the same cuts in the same order. Each script has its own angle, its own pacing, its own emotional beat, and the footage needs to match that. In practice : you're doing about 80% of the sourcing work once, but the editing itself remains specific to each video. What you're delivering for each short : · A distinct visual and scripted hook - different opening, different pacing in the first 2-3 seconds, different emotional angle · Cuts chosen individually to fit the script's tone and pacing · A strong thumbnail - a visually striking frame, with text overlays if needed · The same CTA across all shorts (wishlist the game on Steam) (not in script, just visual) · Relentless focus on the first 2-3 seconds, this is where the job is won or lost ! The packages Test pack (one-time onboarding rate) · 2 full scripts + 1 hook = 3 shorts, same game · 30 min gameplay · $30 total, gameplay included Proof of Concept · 2 full scripts + 1 hook = 3 shorts, same game · 30 min gameplay · $45 total, gameplay included Build Momentum · 7 full scripts + 5 hooks = 12 shorts, same game · 1 hour gameplay · $135 total, gameplay included Go Viral · 18 full scripts + 15 hooks = 33 shorts, same game · 2 hours gameplay · $370 total, gameplay included What this looks like once you're in the flow The first pack will take longer, that's normal. You're learning the format, finding your rhythm, figuring out what works. But creators who go through that learning curve tell us the same thing : once the process licks, the full pipeline for a pack of 3 shorts, writing included, takes 2 to 3 hours, gameplay included. Larger packs scale efficiently because the immersion work is done once, and you reuse visual scenes across shorts. And this isn't a one-off gig. We're growing, our client base is growing, and we're looking for someone to grow with us. That means recurring orders, consistent work, and a stable flow of income, not chasing the next client every week. The creators we click with become our go-to, and we take care of keeping them busy. This test pack We're currently testing creators to find the right long-term fit. This first pack is priced at $30 as a one-time onboarding rate, below our normal rate of $45, so both sides can evaluate the fit without pressure. If the quality is there, we move to regular collaboration quickly. This is our early pricing that will remain like that for the first few months. Once your position in the company is fix, and we grow more, we’ll certainly evolve our pricings for our best editors. We are also thinking about giving some extra bonus when a video passes the cap of a certain amount of views If this sounds like a fit, I'd love to start with the first pack together.
