Security Engineer

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day Must be available daily for meetings and collaboration until 1:00 PM EST (New York time) Independent contractors only — no agencies or staffing firms 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞: • Resume • Short introductory video 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: • Implement and manage Microsoft Purview (Sensitivity Labels, DLP, Endpoint DLP, Information Protection) • Configure and maintain Microsoft Intune for device compliance, MDM/MAM, application deployment, and endpoint security • Manage and improve security configurations across Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Servers, firewalls, and VPNs • Monitor and investigate DLP alerts and potential data exfiltration incidents • Develop security policies aligned with compliance and governance requirements • Write PowerShell scripts for automation, compliance, and endpoint management • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen overall security posture 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: • 5+ years of experience in Information Security (10+ preferred) • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and Intune • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Windows permissions, access control, firewalls, and VPNs • Experience with PowerShell scripting and Git • Ability to work independently and own security implementations end-to-end • Familiarity with AI tools like Claude Code for automation is a plus • Strong English communication skills This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving security challenges and building scalable security practices.
