Security Setup & Password Manager

We're a small roofing/contracting business with a 3–4 person office plus a remote virtual assistant who works with us over the internet. We want someone to review our current setup, get us on a properly configured password manager, and put simple, repeatable security practices in place that non-technical staff can actually follow. We don't need an enterprise overhaul — we need it done right, kept simple, and documented so the team can use it day to day without help. Scope of work: - Recommend and set up a password manager suited to a small team (shared vaults, per-user logins, role-based access) - Migrate our existing logins into it and organize them so each person only sees what they need - Set up two-factor authentication (2FA) on critical accounts: email, banking, payroll, and our business software platforms - Establish a secure way to share credentials with our remote virtual assistant — without ever sending passwords in plain text over email or chat - Define clear protocols for granting and revoking access when someone joins, leaves, or changes roles - Run a quick security review of how we're currently operating and flag the highest-risk gaps - Deliver a short, plain-English written guide (1–3 pages) the team can reference, plus a brief walkthrough/training call What we're looking for: - Hands-on experience setting up password managers and security for small businesses - Ability to explain things simply to non-technical users - Familiarity with securely working alongside remote/offshore VAs - Practical, no-jargon communicator who can document the setup clearly Engagement: Fixed-price.
