Seeking Enterprise-Grade Proprietary Software Code Repositories for AI Training | Non-Exclusive Licensing | All Programming Languages About the Project Firstsource (FSL) is sourcing enterprise-grade proprietary software code repositories for an Artificial Intelligence training initiative. We are looking for mature, production-quality software applications that represent complete products, enterprise platforms, commercial applications, or large-scale prototypes with meaningful development history. Accepted repositories will be licensed to FSL on a non-exclusive basis for AI model training purposes. Contributors retain ownership of their intellectual property while granting FSL the agreed licensing rights. Code Quality Indicators Strong submissions generally include: Meaningful Pull Requests tied to clearly defined features, enhancements, or bug fixes Evidence of genuine engineering problem-solving Work spanning multiple modules or services Complex integrations Layered architecture Modular design Production-ready engineering practices Functional Markdown documentation Test coverage Clean, maintainable code Reasonable use of AI coding assistants (LLMs) is acceptable. However, repositories that are entirely or predominantly AI-generated will not be accepted. Repository Documentation Each repository should include, wherever applicable: README.md Build Instructions Installation Guide Run Instructions (for example, run_instruction.md) Dependency Documentation Environment Setup Guide Deployment Documentation API Documentation Architecture Documentation Testing Documentation Other relevant Markdown documentation The repository should be straightforward for our engineering team to build, execute, and review. Intellectual Property Requirements Applicants must own 100% of the intellectual property rights for the submitted repository. The repository must NOT: Be open-source software Be licensed under any open-source licence Be copied or derived from existing software Include third-party proprietary code without appropriate ownership Be developed under employment or consulting agreements where ownership belongs to an employer, client, or another third party Include copyrighted material that the contributor does not own Only original proprietary software that the contributor legally owns is eligible.
