Senior Apparel Product Development Coordinator (Freelance | Remote)

About Apparel Launch Apparel Launch is a premium apparel development studio that helps fashion and activewear brands bring their products to life, from initial concept through tech packs, fabric sourcing, manufacturer onboarding, sample development, fittings, and production preparation. Our team has supported the development of products for brands sold in Nordstrom, Revolve, Anthropologie, Target, and more, while also helping hundreds of startup founders launch successful apparel brands. We're looking for an experienced apparel product development professional to join our team during an upcoming maternity leave. This role has the potential to become a long-term freelance partnership for the right person. About the Role We're looking for someone who is organized, confident communicating with clients, and has hands-on experience with apparel product development. This isn't an administrative assistant role. You'll serve as an extension of our team by helping manage sample development, client communication, and virtual fittings while ensuring every client continues to receive a premium experience. You'll work closely with our Founder, who will remain involved in all creative direction and final approvals, while you help keep projects moving smoothly day to day. Responsibilities: - Client Communication - Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout sample development. - Schedule and attend client meetings. - Join Zoom or Google Meet calls with clients. - Explain our sampling and fit review process clearly and professionally. - Help clients understand the options for fit reviews, including: - Hiring one of our professional fit models (client-paid), or - Participating in a guided virtual fit session using their own model or themselves. - Answer routine client questions. - Provide proactive project updates. - Sample & Fit Management - Coordinate sample arrivals and organize fit reviews. - Host virtual fit sessions with clients. - Guide clients through evaluating garment fit, construction, functionality, and overall quality. - Record detailed fit comments. - Capture organized photos and videos during fittings. - Compile all fit notes into a clear, professional format. - Submit all feedback to our Founder for final review and approval before it is shared with the factory. - Help manage sample timelines. - Coordinate with manufacturers regarding sample status. - Support revisions to tech packs and product development documents when needed.
