Summary

We are developing a premium two-player interactive archery attraction for Family Entertainment Centres (FECs), arcades, and theme parks. Players use real bows and arrows to shoot at a projected screen measuring 4m × 2.2m. Our proprietary vision system tracks arrow impacts with centimeter-level accuracy, allowing us to score different areas of a target (body, head, heart, eye, etc.). This is not a mobile game or a console game. It is a real-world, location-based entertainment experience. We already have a detailed Game Design Document (GDD) and are looking for an experienced gameplay designer to refine, challenge and improve the mechanics before development begins. What We Need We are looking for a Senior Gameplay Designer with strong experience designing fun, replayable games. Your role is to review our existing design and improve the overall gameplay experience. We are not looking for someone to develop the game. We are looking for someone who can make the game significantly more engaging and commercially successful. Current Game Overview Two-player split-screen gameplay 90-second game session Players shoot approximately 15–20 arrows per game Precision scoring based on exact impact location Animated enemies with moving weak spots Automatic special arrows (Fire, Blast, Split, Lightning) Environmental chain reactions Boss battles PvP curse mechanics Multiple difficulty levels A complete Game Design Document will be provided. Responsibilities Please review and improve: Core gameplay loop Risk vs reward Replayability Wave design Scoring system Boss mechanics Difficulty balancing Power-up design PvP mechanics Reward psychology Player progression Family-friendly gameplay Overall fun factor We expect you to challenge our assumptions and suggest better ideas where appropriate.
