Instead of manually reviewing CVs and booking unnecessary first interviews, businesses can create a filtering form, invite suitable applicants to answer short video questions, review AI summaries, and move candidates through a simple hiring pipeline. It is designed for busy businesses that want to get to a shortlist faster.We are looking for a serious, commercially minded BDM to help grow StarHire, a recruitment SaaS platform that helps businesses screen candidates faster using one-way video interviews, filtering forms, AI summaries and applicant pipelines. THE ROLE This is a contractor role suited to someone who can both generate leads and close sales". We are not looking for a junior appointment setter. We want someone who can think strategically, identify strong prospects, open conversations, run demos where needed, and convert the right customers into paying users. StarHire is especially useful for businesses that hire regularly or in volume, including recruiters, small business owners, agencies, hospitality businesses, education providers, trades, healthcare, childcare, sales teams and any business where communication skills matter. The main product is a monthly or annual SaaS subscription, although there may also be opportunities to sell a more hands-on “done-for-you” hiring workflow where appropriate. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will be responsible for generating and closing new business for StarHire. This includes identifying suitable prospects, reaching out through email, LinkedIn or phone, running demos where useful, following up professionally, closing monthly or annual subscriptions, and sharing feedback on what prospects want, object to, and respond to. We are open to your process if it works. You do not need to follow a rigid script, but you do need to be organised, professional and consistent. COMPENSATION This is a performance-based contractor role. You will receive 20% of first-year revenue from customers you source and close. For example, if you close a customer worth $3,000 in first-year revenue, your commission would be $600. If you close an annual deal, commission is calculated on the annual contract value. If you close a monthly customer, commission is calculated based on the expected first-year subscription value, subject to agreed payment terms. WHO THIS IS FOR This role is ideal for someone who has experience selling B2B SaaS, recruitment products, HR technology, staffing services, lead generation services, or business services to small and medium businesses. You should be comfortable with outbound sales and able to create opportunities without waiting for inbound leads. You should also be able to think commercially. We are still early, so part of the opportunity is helping identify which customer segments convert best. TO APPLY Please answer the following: 1.
