AW - Senior Backend & Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build the Infrastructure and Real-Time Pipes for a high-throughput AI platform. You are not building the models; you are building the scalable environment they run in. You will own the cloud infrastructure, the database layer, and the API surface that connects the AI to the outside world. The Core Challenge: - Migration: Architecting a phased migration from a legacy backend to a modern Python microservice architecture without downtime. - Real-Time: Building high-concurrency WebSocket servers (FastAPI) to handle streaming agent responses. - Database: Managing high-write Postgres databases optimized for both JSONB storage and Vector Search. Key Requirements: - Cloud Native: Expert in AWS (ECS, Fargate, RDS). You use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CDK). - Python Backend: Deep experience with FastAPI and AsyncIO/WebSockets. - Database: Advanced PostgreSQL skills (Transactions, Locking, indexing for scale). - Observability: Experience implementing distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry etc.) to debug requests across services.
