Senior Bilingual (Spanish) Litigation Paralegal - Remote, 1099

About the role We are a consumer-advocacy team that represents homeowners against solar, renovation, and financing companies. We are hiring a SENIOR litigation paralegal to own cases end to end. This is not an administrative-assistant seat -- you will run the full litigation workflow. This is a remote, full-time, 1099 independent-contractor engagement. You run your own workflow and invoice us; we bring the cases and the mission. Two non-negotiables (please read before applying) 1) Legal-register Spanish. You can READ and DRAFT legal documents in Spanish -- demand letters, client notices, contract summaries, pleadings -- not just hold a conversation. Most of our clients are Spanish-speaking. We confirm this with a short live exercise, so please only apply if your Spanish is at a true legal/professional level. 2) 8+ years (15 ideal) owning the full litigation cycle as a paralegal: intake, discovery, trial prep, case management, and contract review. Ownership, not assisting. What you will do - Own case files end to end, from intake through trial prep - Review consumer contracts (solar, home improvement/renovation, financing) and flag deceptive terms, disclosure gaps, and consumer-finance issues - Draft pleadings, demand letters, discovery, and client communications -- in both English and Spanish - Manage discovery, deadlines, and case organization - Communicate with Spanish-speaking clients to confirm facts and gather documents - Keep clean, accurate records in Google Workspace What we are looking for - 8+ years of real, owned paralegal experience (consumer law, civil litigation, personal injury, consumer finance, or contract work all transfer) - Legal-register Spanish: read and draft (tested with a short live exercise) - US-based and authorized to work in the US (1099 / W-9) - Self-directed operator comfortable running your own workflow and systems - California / Pacific time a plus (remote US is fine for the right person) Compensation and structure - $30-40/hour depending on experience - 35-40 hours/week, ongoing - 1099 independent contractor: you invoice us and handle your own taxes, you control how and when you do the work within case deadlines, you use your own equipment, and you are free to keep other clients This role is not a fit if - Your Spanish is conversational only - You only want occasional or part-time gigs - You need step-by-step direction for every file If this is you, apply and answer the questions below.
