Senior Business Development Lead — Game IP Licensing & Sales
Worldwide
We're a game development studio (startup) with three Unreal Engine properties in advanced production, built over several years by top-tier developers and production teams. For each property: the environment is 100% built, the UI, navigation, and minimap systems are complete, core gameplay mechanics are functional, and the brand is built with its own domain, website, and established social media accounts. What's left before store launch is well-defined: game logic (missions/objectives, progression, AI, save systems, multiplayer logic where applicable) and the launch layer (platform SDK integration, certification, monetization, store page). The Thesis These properties are built for the major PC and console storefronts, including Epic Games Store, Steam, and the Microsoft Store. Look closely at any one of the three and it's clear that top creative talent shaped it, from the environment design down to the smallest detail. We built three epic game environments and put in all the consistent, hands-on creative work that many top titles require. Now we need someone who knows how to bring them to market. That could mean finding a buyer or development partner to take a game through completion, or an investor to fund the remaining development through launch. What You'll Be Selling - Open-World Driving City: a GTA-style sandbox built around driving sports cars, with a full downtown, beachfront, custom vehicles, an F1-style racetrack, and helicopters, jet skis, and boats. - Island-Based Interactive World: a continuous open island blending go-karting, hunting, kayaking, balloon rides, farming, delivery gameplay, and fishing into one explorable world. - Golf Environment: an ultra-realistic luxury golf experience with a full clubhouse, cigar room and bar, a live-animal aquarium, golf carts, yachts, jet skis, and a seaplane. Full builds, source files, and brand assets available for serious, qualified parties under NDA. The Role - Identify and reach out to potential buyers, licensors, investors, publishers, platform holders, brand partners, and studios - Present each project professionally, tailored to the right buyer type (outright IP acquisition, licensing partnership, or investment to fund the remaining build-out to store launch) - Clearly communicate what's done (environment, UI/navigation, core mechanics, brand/website) versus what remains (game logic layer, multiplayer systems where applicable, and the store launch/certification layer) - Manage the negotiation process from first conversation through signed deal - Advise us on deal structure, valuation, and positioning based on real market experience What We're Looking For - A proven track record of closing licensing, acquisition, or publishing deals in the games industry - Real, active relationships with publishers, platform holders, brand licensors, or games-industry investors - Comfort operating independently, end-to-end, from first pitch to signature - Familiarity with how environment/IP-only deals (as opposed to finished, shipped games) get evaluated and priced is a strong plus Compensation Based on the pricing we currently have in mind for the three projects, compensation will be structured as a $10,000 success fee paid through Upwork. If you’re able to close a deal at a higher value than our target price, we’re open to increasing the compensation accordingly.
