Senior Business Writer / Researcher & Editorial Strategist for CEO Coaching Practice

I’m a former startup CEO who now coaches founders and CEOs of venture-backed companies. You can learn more about my background and coaching practice at startupceo.coach. I’m looking for a senior writer/researcher/editorial partner to help me turn years of operating and coaching experience into a more coherent body of work. I have plenty of raw material: ideas, frameworks, coaching patterns, stories, transcripts, and observations from working with startup CEOs. What I need is someone who is very good at taking messy thinking and turning it into clear, useful, well-structured intellectual property. The work could include: Interviewing me to extract ideas and frameworks Reviewing coaching transcripts and existing writing to identify recurring themes Developing frameworks, assessments, and research questions Researching topics related to startup leadership and CEO development Drafting and editing substantive articles, reports, and case studies Helping shape an eventual research report and book Creating an editorial roadmap and helping maintain a consistent publishing cadence Occasionally coordinating with designers, researchers, or other specialists This is not primarily an SEO, social media, or marketing-copy role. I’m looking for someone with strong editorial judgment who can challenge weak ideas, ask good questions, and help determine what is actually worth developing. You may be a good fit if you have experience as a: Business writer or ghostwriter Developmental editor Journalist or researcher Editorial strategist Business book collaborator Writer/editor in venture capital, startups, executive education, or leadership Startup experience is helpful but not required. Strong thinking and writing matter more. This will start as a paid fractional engagement, approximately 10–20 hours per week, with the potential to become a long-term relationship.
