The strategist here owns it all: research, scripts, briefing editors, feedback loops, iterating on winners, owning the performance numbers. End-to-end. We're hiring one or multiple senior creative strategists who scrolls FB Ad Library and Instagram/TikTok organic before breakfast and has written ads that scaled past 6 figures in spend. Worked at 7-9 figure DTC brands? You geek out on avatar research, deep-dive Reddit threads and Amazon reviews, and write from mechanism and root cause โ not vibes? If so, keep reading. But you do need to understand these formats well enough to brief them, judge them, and know what makes them convert as DR. Strong plus: if you can also edit and prototype your own concepts โ strategists who can make their own rough cuts move faster and ship more winners. Psychological warfare. โ Obsessed with intent-driven ads grounded in research and data, not vibes โ Obsessed with Direct Response: script structures, mass desire, pain point, objections, proof, awareness stages, root cause, unique mechanism, bridging pain to desire, transformation journey โ Obsessed with catching trend formats early โ deep in IG and TikTok organic, dissecting viral content before it becomes ads You'll thrive here if โ โ You've shipped DR scripts and concepts at real ad spend โ 7-9 figure DTC, scripts scaling past 6 figures (proof + data required) โ You can deconstruct any winning DR ad in 5-10 minutes โ hook, mechanism, structure, why it's converting โ You think in mechanisms, avatars, sophistication levels, market awareness, and can name where each came from โ You speak Meta creative metrics fluently โ hook rate, 3s/25%/50% hold, CTR, CVR, CPA, ROAS, AOV โ Copy and storytelling are everything. You feel beats before you write. โ You live in FB Ad Library + Instagram/TikTok organic. Know what's trending in supplement DR this week and bring concepts unprompted โ You're a research animal โ Reddit, Amazon reviews, YouTube/TikTok comments, support tickets, customer surveys, competitor funnels + advertorials, podcast transcripts, studies, AI deep search โ Zero ego on feedback. You iterate fast and actually learn from it. And if you're a DR research animal ๐ง ๐ง You've studied (and applied) Schwartz, Halbert, Stefan Georgi, Justin Goff, Eddie Shleyner. Can name what stuck from each ๐ง You can brief and coordinate video editors (you'll work directly with our editor team) + UGC creators (mostly AI for now) ๐ง Strong prompter โ but AI is a TOOL, not THE BRAIN. You use Claude/GPT/Gemini for speed (research, scraping, deconstruction drafts, hook iteration), but you READ every output, kill the slop, and add real human thinking. You've built prompt libraries that 10x your workflow without replacing your judgment. ๐ง You maintain a strong personal swipe file of brands / funnels / ads / hook library / mechanism database ๐ง High level of written + spoken English (you'll write scripts and briefs all day, clarity matters) Strongly preferred: โ Worked with 7-9 figure DTC brands with specific winners + data (scripts scaling past $100K spend) โ Worked with direct response and/or health/supplement brands (compliance-aware but can push boundaries) โ Completed DR/Copywriting/Creative strategy course: Evolve, Zakaria Ecom Masterclass, Stefan Georgi, EcomTalent โ Built or hired creative teams at a 7-9 fig DTC brand โ Experience coordinating a creative pipeline against weekly KPIs โ Built tight feedback loops with teams โ research and ad performance data drives your next concepts, not your gut Don't apply if: โ You're a "copywriter who also does strategy" โ you need to be an expert at both โ Your portfolio is brand voice, lifestyle copy, generic ecom, coaching videos, organic social, or content calendars โ You have no sense for health/supplement compliance boundaries โ You speak in vague creative language ("it tells a story", "it feels authentic") instead of performance terms (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CVR, CPA, ROAS) โ You ship AI slop. You let LLMs think for you, paste outputs without reading them, and call it "research", "concepts" or "scripts" โ Answers written by AI will be auto-rejected. Commitment: Long-term โ full-time base salary + performance % on ad spend. We care about output and performance.
