Senior Creative Strategist / Head of Paid Creative (Meta Performance Ads)

Creative Strategist (Head of Paid Creative). Full time, 40 hours per week. Remote. Pay: A$12,000 to A$15,000 per month, plus a performance bonus on top for every new winning ad. The better your creative performs, the more you earn. Core responsibilities • Own our paid creative end to end, from idea to script to shipping, and own the results it drives • Run the creative engine at volume, around 12 concepts a week, each with 3 hook variations, covering both the strategy and the scripts. Our AI system handles research, planning, the pattern library, and about half the copywriting, so you move fast, but the persuasive direct response writing and the final call are yours • Analyse the account, find the patterns behind what is winning, build hypotheses, and test to lift hit rate and find new winners • Lead a team of three full time video editors, keep quality high and the backlog full, and review work to raise the standard • Plan and ideate content, and work with our content and UGC creators, with VA support, to flow content into the funnel and lift quality and quantity • Keep training and improving our AI system • Sit with the leadership team and contribute to wider business decisions About Gardeners Crate Gardeners Crate is a fast growing ecommerce brand in the gardening and lawn care space. We are in our first year and already on track to hit eight figures, and our entire growth engine runs on performance creative for Meta ads. We are a small, agile team going up against established brands with far bigger budgets, and we win on the strength of our creative. The founders are in the work every day, and we are building a team where every person matters. This role exists because creative is our single biggest growth lever, and we want a senior person to own it. Skills and experience • 5+ years in performance creative for paid social, with direct Meta ads experience, which is where our creative converts • Strong direct response copywriting and scriptwriting, grounded in customer psychology, you know how to build hooks, contrast loops, and VSL style ads that convert • A proven ability to generate ideas that perform, not just execute briefs • A sharp analytical eye for patterns, hypotheses, and testing • Confidence leading a creative team and directing editors and content creators • Comfort using and improving AI tools in a creative workflow What you can expect from us A small, ambitious, fast moving team where the founders are in the work alongside you, a place to do your best work and build something you are proud of.
