Senior Performance Creative Strategist / Scriptwriter for Meta Ads — DTC eCommerce We’re looking for an elite Performance Creative Strategist / Scriptwriter who can write high-converting Meta ad scripts for serious DTC/eCommerce brands. This is a long-term, full-time contractor role for someone who deeply understands direct response, paid social, consumer psychology, offer positioning, UGC ads and creative testing. Your main job will be to create winning ad concepts, hooks, angles, scripts and briefs that editors can turn into high-performing Meta ads. This is not a brand strategy role. This is not a media buying role. This is not an organic social media role. This is not generic copywriting. We need someone who knows how to write ads that sell. WHAT YOU’LL OWN You’ll be responsible for: * Writing direct-response video scripts for Meta ads * Creating strong hooks, angles and concepts for DTC/eCommerce products * Turning product benefits, customer pain points, objections, reviews, offers and proof points into conversion-focused ads * Writing UGC scripts, founder scripts, testimonial scripts, product demo scripts, problem/solution scripts and VSL-style scripts * Creating clear creative briefs for video editors * Building script variations for creative testing * Iterating on winning concepts based on performance feedback * Researching customer psychology, competitors, reviews, comments, forums, TikTok comments, Amazon reviews and market angles * Helping build a repeatable creative testing pipeline WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR You must have: * Proven experience writing paid social scripts for DTC/eCommerce brands * Strong understanding of Meta ads, UGC ads and direct response creative * Excellent English writing skills * Ability to write scripts that are clear, persuasive and easy for editors/creators to execute * Strong understanding of hooks, angles, objections, pain points, mechanisms, offers and CTAs * Experience creating scripts for real paid ad campaigns, not just organic content * Ability to think in terms of testing, iterations and creative winners * Availability Monday to Friday * Strong overlap with CET working hours * Ability to work long-term as part of a serious ecommerce creative team YOU ARE PROBABLY A FIT IF You know how to: * Write a hook that stops the scroll * Turn a boring product benefit into a strong selling angle * Use reviews and customer language to create better ads * Write scripts for UGC creators, founders, testimonials and product demos * Create multiple angles from the same product or offer * Separate “nice creative” from creative that actually drives conversions * Give editors a brief that is clear, specific and performance-focused * Analyze why a creative worked and create new variations from it YOU ARE NOT A FIT IF Please do not apply if you are mainly: * A social media manager * An organic content strategist * A media buyer * A brand strategist * A generic copywriter * A blog/email/SEO writer * Someone who only writes captions or organic content * Someone without real paid ad script examples * Someone who cannot show ads produced from their scripts We are only looking for people with real experience writing scripts for paid social ads. COMPENSATION Base compensation: $3,000/month for full-time work. In addition to the base compensation, we offer performance bonuses for winning ad creatives. Bonuses are earned per individual ad creative based on the total ad spend that creative accumulates while maintaining the required performance. A bonus milestone is paid once per qualifying ad. ROAS is measured on 7-day click attribution as reported by the ad platform. Bonus structure: * Ad reaches $5,000 total spend at 2.0+ ROAS: $100 bonus * Ad reaches $25,000 total spend at 2.0+ ROAS: $300 additional bonus * Ad reaches $100,000 total spend at 2.0+ ROAS: $1,000 additional bonus * Ad reaches $250,000 total spend at 2.0+ ROAS: $2,000 additional bonus To qualify, you must have personally created the core concept, angle, hook and script for the ad. Minor edits, cutdowns, re-edits, small wording changes or variations of the same core concept/script are considered part of the same creative for bonus purposes. Bonuses are paid monthly after performance is reviewed and confirmed. TEST TASK There will be a short paid test task for shortlisted candidates. The test will be designed to evaluate: * Hook quality * Angle quality * Direct response thinking * Customer psychology * Script structure * Clarity of the editor brief * Ability to create variations for testing TO APPLY Start your application with the phrase: “Performance Scriptwriter” so we know you read the full post.
