Senior Creative Strategist for DTC Ecommerce

We're a DTC supplement brand running Meta Ads at scale. We're looking for a Creative Lead who can own our creative production pipeline — making sure we're producing, testing, and iterating on enough high-quality ad creatives every single week. The role: This starts as a production-focused position. We set the angles and strategy, you bring them to life and keep the machine running. You'll manage our video editor and any freelancers needed to hit volume. If you prove yourself, this role grows into a full Creative Strategist position, owning the entire creative domain: strategy, team building, hiring agencies, overseeing email creative, and ensuring the customer journey is visually congruent from ad to checkout. Compensation grows with scope. What you'll do (starting scope): → Own creative output volume, consistent weekly flow of new creatives for Meta Ads → Direct editors on hooks, formats, angles, and styles → QC all creative output before it goes into the ad account → Run structured creative testing: hook tests, format tests, angle tests → Analyze which creatives are winning and why — read the data, spot patterns, double down → Source UGC content — find creators, scrape and repurpose real customer content → Create static ad visuals using AI tools and design tools → Manage video editor(s) and freelancers → Weekly report: what was produced, what's being tested, what's winning, what's next What grows into (when results are proven): → Full creative strategy ownership: you decide what angles and themes to test each month → Ensure ad, landing page, and website visual congruence across the full customer journey → Build direct response playbooks: pain point funnels, hook frameworks, offer positioning → Focus on lifetime value: creatives that drive subscriptions and repeat, not just first purchase → Hire and fire editors, agencies, UGC creators: build the creative team → Source and onboard an email marketer, oversee email creative → Bring your own tools, workflows, and infrastructure What we're looking for: → DTC e-commerce creative production experience (supplements/beauty/wellness preferred) → Understanding of direct response marketing: you know what makes someone stop scrolling and buy → Experience with Meta Ads creative formats: UGC, static, video, carousel, VSL → Can read ad performance data (CTR, hook rate, hold rate, ROAS) and turn it into creative decisions → Experience managing editors or small creative teams → High output, fast iteration, strong visual taste This is the most important part, how you think and work: → You build systems, not just creatives. Your testing framework, your production workflow, your briefing process, all of it is documented, repeatable, and transferable. → You create SOPs without being asked. If you set up a process, you document it so someone else can follow it. → You organise and structure your domain so thoroughly that the business benefits from your presence even when you're not working. → You take full ownership, you don't need to be managed, you need to be pointed in a direction. → You think about how your work connects to every other part of the business: ads, landing pages, email, retention, LTV. → You're intelligent, structured, and you have personality. You do the work and you do it well. We want someone who is better than us at this. Someone who brings a level of creative leadership, infrastructure, and operational clarity that we don't have in-house.
