Senior Digital Signage Systems Engineer (NovaStar, Windows/Linux, Raspberry Pi, LED Displays)

We already purchased professional NovaStar hardware and LED displays. We are looking for an experienced Digital Signage Engineer to integrate everything into one reliable production system. About Us We are Stechwerk, one of Switzerland's leading piercing and jewelry studios. We are currently building a completely new flagship store in Zurich with a premium digital signage installation that will become one of the visual highlights of the studio. The project is intended to be permanent, reliable and easy to maintain. We are looking for an experienced engineer who can help us design, configure, implement and optimize the complete system. This is not a simple installation job. We are looking for a long-term technical partner. Project Overview Existing Hardware The installation consists of several professional display systems. Main LED Wall Custom indoor LED display L-shaped construction Total length approximately 4.2 meters Height approximately 33 cm Fine pixel pitch P0.9 The display will be visible directly from the street and from inside the store, therefore image quality and reliability are extremely important. If you believe another professional solution is more reliable, we are open to recommendations. Network Infrastructure The project includes: UniFi network Professional Ethernet infrastructure Remote administration Remote software updates Remote monitoring VPN access if appropriate System Goals The system must be designed for professional commercial operation. Primary goals are: Maximum reliability Easy maintenance Stable 24/7 operation Remote administration Automatic startup after power loss Easy content management Future expandability Minimal downtime Content The displays will show: Motion graphics Product advertising Brand animations Promotional videos Aquarium scenes Nature videos Seasonal campaigns AI-generated marketing content Content will change frequently and should be easy to manage remotely. What We Need We are looking for an experienced engineer who can build the complete technical platform. Your responsibilities include: Evaluate the existing hardware Recommend improvements where appropriate Design the complete system architecture Configure NovaStar Configure playback hardware Configure Windows and/or Linux Install and configure a professional CMS Configure playlists Configure automatic scheduling Configure remote management Configure remote updates Configure monitoring Optimize system performance Create technical documentation Deliver a stable production-ready installation Whenever possible we prefer existing professional software over custom development. Custom programming should only be used where it provides a clear advantage.
