WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are a fast-scaling direct-to-consumer health brand looking for an elite, data-backed Direct-Response Copywriter & Creative Strategist. We are looking for an angle-hunter, a script-master, and a conversion-mechanic rolled into one. We do not write generic, corporate marketing copy, nor do we build standard e-commerce funnels. We create high-stakes, logically airtight, direct-to-consumer health campaigns. If you are the type of writer who relies on basic adjectives, template formats, and surface-level benefits, please do not apply. But if you actively breathe Eugene Schwartz’s Breakthrough Advertising principles, know exactly how to manipulate Market Sophistication and Awareness levels, and execute the RMBC Method flawlessly under tight deadlines, this role is engineered for you. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES End-to-End Creative Strategy & Ideation: You won’t just take orders; you will lead the creative direction. You will deep-dive into market research, analyze ad comments and forums, review customer data, and dream up completely fresh visual hooks and positioning angles to scale our media buying spend. Write Category-Defining VSLs (~3-5 Minutes): You will craft high-retention, problem-aware video scripts utilizing psychological pattern-interrupts and visceral, real-world analogies. You must be able to pitch a severe physical crisis and bridge it seamlessly to a proprietary solution without losing the user's logic or trust. Draft Long-Form Hybrid PDPs: You will reverse-engineer standard, boring e-commerce checkout pages and convert them into long-form editorial landing pages that seamlessly function as high-converting checkout carts. Write Native Advertorials: You will script top-of-funnel presell articles that systematically dismantle mainstream band-aids and open a massive curiosity loop that drives massive clicks to our main offers. REQUIRED SKILLS & STRATEGIC KNOWLEDGE Mastery of Market Awareness & Sophistication: You understand how to market to a highly saturated, highly skeptical consumer base. You know how to take a Problem-Aware prospect (someone experiencing real physical symptoms but clueless about the underlying biological cause) and bypass their defensive walls by targeting a hidden, external enemy. The RMBC Method (Research, Mechanism, Brief, Copy): This is non-negotiable. You must deeply understand how to isolate a Unique Mechanism of the Problem (UMP) and a Unique Mechanism of the Solution (UMS) to form a bulletproof, logical chain. Simplification of Complex Science: You know how to take advanced biological concepts and translate them into clear, simple, punchy, real-world analogies (e.g., explaining bodily pipelines using concepts like plumbing, traffic jams, collapsed highways, or rusted pipes). Visual Storyboarding: You write copy with the video editor in mind. Every line of your script must explicitly dictate a clear, second-by-second visual action, b-roll directive, or high-contrast text overlay to maximize video hold-rates. QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of verifiable direct-response copywriting and creative strategy experience in the supplement, health, longevity, or financial publishing verticals. A portfolio showcasing winning VSLs, long-form landing pages, or advertorials that have generated consistent, profitable ROAS on cold traffic platforms (Meta, Google, YouTube). Direct study or formal training in ancestral direct-response frameworks (Breakthrough Advertising, Stefan Georgi’s RMBC framework, or classic Agora-style copywriting models). High speed of execution. You can research a bodily mechanism deeply, map out a full creative strategy brief, and execute a clean first draft efficiently without endless corporate hand-holding.
