Senior Elasticsearch Engineer

Senior Elasticsearch Engineer / Consultant (US Local Preferred) We are seeking a Senior Elasticsearch Engineer / Consultant for a 3-6 months consulting engagement supporting enterprise Elastic customers. This position involves working closely with clients across the United States and collaborating with a global consulting team on complex Elastic implementations focused on Search and Observability use cases. This is a customer-facing consulting role, not product development or web content indexing. Role Overview You will work on real-world Elastic consulting engagements, helping enterprise clients design, deploy, optimize, and troubleshoot Elasticsearch environments at scale. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in the Elastic ecosystem along with prior consulting exposure to large-scale enterprise environments. Required Experience 7+ years of hands-on experience working in the Elasticsearch ecosystem Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining Elasticsearch clusters in enterprise production environments Strong experience with Elastic Stack components: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats, Elastic Agent Solid background in Observability (logs, metrics, traces) and Search use cases Experience in index design, mappings, analyzers, and query optimization Experience with data ingestion pipelines (Kafka, Filebeat, Logstash) Familiarity with Elasticsearch security features (RBAC, TLS, SSO, API keys) Experience making architectural recommendations based on client requirements Strong troubleshooting skills in performance, ingestion, and scaling issues Prior consulting experience with enterprise customers is highly preferred Elastic certification (Engineer / Observability / Search) manadatory Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Git, and CI/CD pipelines Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders Eligibility Must be based in the United States US Citizen or Green Card holder preferred (work authorisation required) What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a consultant who combines deep Elastic expertise with strong communication skills and the ability to operate in a client-facing consulting environment, delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing Elasticsearch solutions.
